Have you thought about a gardner? I've had one the last 8 months, it totally kicks butt!!!!!Echo said:Because whenever it's nice enough to mow, it's nice enough to ride
Tell them you're growing it for hay to sell. I got all entrepenurial one summer when my family was gone (a few years ago), and quit mowing the 2 acre lawn. Got a local guy to come in and cut it and bail it for free, if I gave him half the hay. Sold the other half.SkaredShtles said:Or if anyone asks, tell them "That's not my lawn, that's my field"

I totally scored on mine, they charge only $75 a monthWesty said:Some of us are in a financial situation where we are more likely to become a gardener than to hire one.
Echo, how much to mow your lawn

It all depends on how valuable your time is to you.SkaredShtles said:<taps on calculator>
Holy ****e, man. That's a nice (well, sorta nice) new (well, almost new) bike frame per year! I better get out and mow my yard......... <sigh>

I enjoy my time alone. Which is why I mow my 5 acres. Simple pleasures.Brian HCM#1 said:It all depends on how valuable your time is to you.

I used to enjoy the 4+ hours it took to mow my lawn, but I stop liking it in the summer time when you need to do it every single weekend.mrbigisbudgood said:I enjoy my time alone. Which is why I mow my 5 acres. Simple pleasures.
Ours gets to that point for the very same reason!!! I had to force myself last night to at least do the front yard so we wouldn't look like the white trash neighbors on the block any longer. It's actually something I don't mind doing....I worked on my brothers lawn crew for a few summers and enjoyed it...it's just that riding is so much more funEcho said:Because whenever it's nice enough to mow, it's nice enough to ride
Lessee. I mow on average about once/mo. It takes about an hour. $75/hour. I'll work for that!Brian HCM#1 said:It all depends on how valuable your time is to you.
I guess you guys can do that out in Utah... not much to burn out there...xbluethunderx said:Two words: Controlled burn.

Ahh, the joys of having compulsive neighbors
