Why My LBS KICKS ASS !!!!

splat

Nam I am
Yes Milford Bike is awesome!!!

as some of you know ( the ones at Monkey fest) there were some strange sounds coming out of my bike as we were riding . and I figured it was coming from the play I had in the rear Triangle . so tonight after I got home from work I put the road bike in the garage and hopped on my Mt bike and rode it to my LBS But they Close at 6 Pm on Wednesday , it was 6:05 when I got there , I knocked on the back door , Jeff threw my Bike up on the stand . I thouhgt I had bushings in the 4 point link turns out it out they were bearings , and they were absolutly crushed , Jeff just started working on it , but it was going to take a bit of work. His Dad is in town so He asked if it would be OK if he worked on it tommorow, and Gave me the Specilized Stump jumper Expert test Bike to Use to get home !

Hey nice bike , so On the way Home had to take the dirt way , So with No water , no food , no tools ,no Armour ,no gloves and even had my Roadie helmet on I proceded to do a 1 1/2 ride in the Nam.

Now that is service . Nice Bike , but I felt a Little tight on it , Maybe because it is a medium and I generally Ride a large .

But how many Shops will take your bike right away after hours !

I normally am not a fan of the way Specialized bikes look, but that lime green I dig...a lot. It would look pinner with a Green R7...not like the fork would go with that bike, but you get the idea.

It is a cool shop. Kind of expensive though. I stopped in there after I rode with you. My brother bought his bike from there.

That's cool, I love shops that are willing to support your needs.

Santiam used to have urban night rides and a number of times breakage would happen. Someone from the shop would escort the busted bike back to the shop for a late night repair on store credit to be settled in the morning.

Some shops just plain rule.

Word!! Having a good LBS is worth it's weight in gold! I dropped my Kona off @ Elevate the Wed. before Monkeyfest to get a new BB, brake pads and front wheel trued, and they had it ready on Thurs. for me because they knew I was heading out of town. :thumb:

No LBS's around here even have test bikes :( They had a Specialized test day down at the trailhead one afternoon but they dont keep those bikes in stock. That was a fun day BTW I tried out like 3 different bikes on 3 different trails :)

Anyway, really cool that they let you borrow it to get home.

we get those "Test Bikes" to sell for some reason. no one in the service area really knows why we get them, but they sell.
