why wear goggles?

Snow , sleet , wind and for warmth.
Why would you need goggles more riding with other people then you would riding alone ?

I don't like getting anyone else's salty spray in my eyes.
In SoCal eye protection is mandatory if you're riding behind anyone. It's so dusty you can't see **** behind someone without.
Some people go faster than others.

As you become faster, youll notice the dirt off your own front tire hitting you in the face......Like HAB said, anywere dry like socal, it becomes a neccesity

I wear them because of dust, mud, dirt, bugs, etc. Pretty much anything that might come off my front tire when I am riding.

i know ive forgotten my goggles before and i hated myself for it about a 1/4 of the way down the first run
It's all fun and games until someone gets their eye poked out.
Thats why you always leave while you are still wearing them!!!!

I put on a tube mud flap up front and have been shreddin in the rain/day-after-mud and been rockin no-goggles without any problems

Friend of mine crashed head first on a pointy rock once, would have lost an eye if it wasnt for his goggles...
So having started with that, what do you buy for goggles and why?

Goggles for DH and clear glasses for trail riding.
yellow tint safety glasses for xc, mirror grey goggles for dh.
i only wear them when playing power electronics

Sure is......didnt even have to apply... but that doesnt make me special, most people I know didnt have to apply for Steelmx either
