I’ve adopted this philosophy and often sit by my window in the afternoon to catch a few free kilowatts. She goes wherever is warmest.
NUC FTW!
he's coming here at some point, i believe...c'mon out!Bought three nights of Isbell tickets for Denver in May. if I’m riding well by then, I’ll probably add Colorado Springs, and visit Da Squeeb. Whether he wants me to or not!!
I need to get back there!he's coming here at some point, i believe...c'mon out!
here...in the summer...at the highest (but small) lift served resort on the beast coast, no less!I need to get back there!
So far, I’m seeing him twice in MX, (probably) four times in CO, once in Montana, and probably once in Utah.
That’s probably one too many already…
But nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can hit me in the feels like they do, both lyrically, musically, melodically, rhythmically.
And holy fuck, what monsters on the geet-tars.
It is NOT ‘country’. Or even ‘Cuntry’.
(Yes, that’s a thing)
all dat snow...*@SkaredShtles interest intensifies*...And home, that was balls.
Second time that highway has been closed this week. Hopefully whoever went through the guardrail is ok.
There is almost another foot of snow that fell in that area today.
And just north of there, they got just under 5 feet of snow in places on the weekend. Elbows deep into winter now, I guess.

165 cranks?I did take the new 5010 out for a ride and had a great time. I wasn't really able to shake things out that well as it was misting, mostly frozen, and dark. At the end of my ride my helmet had a thin ice crust.
The bike seems awesome though! The flip chip was in the low setting. I had a handful of pedal strikes, probably because I couldn't see anything though. Next I'll swap the flip chip and see how that goes.
165 pretty much reduced pedal strikes by 90% on my ScoutNo - I am still running 175s these days
I'll give it some thought. I've been running the 175s for my entire life and have made up excuses in my head why I prefer them.165 pretty much reduced pedal strikes by 90% on my Scout
i'd recommend borrowing a set if possible. try both 170 and 165. i run 175s everywhere except my DH bike which is 170. i just didn't get along with 165s. ymmvI'll give it some thought. I've been running the 175s for my entire life and have made up excuses in my head why I prefer them.
@boostindoubles i should also add here that i'm like 6'1". The bike I ran 165 cranks on was an old custom DH frame of mine that had a BB that would be hella low even by today's standards - it was something like 12 5/8"i'd recommend borrowing a set if possible. try both 170 and 165. i run 175s everywhere except my DH bike which is 170. i just didn't get along with 165s. ymmv
I'm 6'4" and like a slower cadence. I grew up riding single speed and thats all about leverage. My riding style sort of developed around a slow cadence hammer fest.@boostindoubles i should also add here that i'm like 6'1". 6'-1", and not a downshifter. Like to hammer climbs too. It felt weird/off for a couple of rides. When I ride often, my torn meniscus gets inflamed. Hasn't happened this year on the 165, although I didn't ride as much.I'm 6'4" and like a slower cadence. I grew up riding single speed and thats all about leverage. I've considered it before! I'll keep an eye out for a set of 170s.
