As someone who's run an otherwise identical 26" and 650b forks on the same bike, a +/- 9mm offset change is absolutely noticeable.Or make a real world difference.
Different thing. This doesn't change the reach or head tube angle, it changes the fork offset.Isn't that what adjustable headsets are for?
i had the same thought. didn't wanna be the one to point it out.yeah, those won't creak...
Da fuq has a 65mm offset?I think it's great and will likely be the next "revolution" in DH geometry.
I've ridden forks with 65mm offset and 34mm offset, as well as 45 and 51. For me, the shorter the better in almost all conditions. Being able to adjust it would give you room to play.
thats the only thing im thinking about just looking at ityeah, those won't creak...
Does one need room to play, or would a simple single-position, low offset work?I think it's great and will likely be the next "revolution" in DH geometry.

Will be available in 1mm steps for an extra 200$ to shave off those nano seconds while doing shuttle runs at your local parking lot.Does one need room to play, or would a simple single-position, low offset work?

what works for me not work for everybody else. There are plenty of mtbrers that swear by having 51mm offset on their 29ers. Having tried both, 46mm offers more direct feel and less floppiness. Plus I think there will be some compromise between head angle and offset that offers riders the best feel...without knowing everybody's individual setups, I think some level of adjustability makes sense.Does one need room to play, or would a simple single-position, low offset work?

some of us go faster on our DH bikes than our trail bikes.....I kinda get those arguments for trail/AM/enderpo bikes, but hot important is it for DH?
I know I suck on my DH bike but I was talking about the whole 51 vs 46 debate.some of us go faster on our DH bikes than our trail bikes.....
Then the question is, can most riders tell the difference and make an educated choice? If they can, wouldn't it make sense to manufacture a couple of fixed sizes that will weigh less and stay silent? Reminds me of these god-awful thingswhat works for me not work for everybody else. There are plenty of mtbrers that swear by having 51mm offset on their 29ers.
