In college we used to get a huge bag of bagels delivered every saturday morning. Rarely would they all get eaten before getting stale. They got put into a special paper bag where they would age to a rock hard state. When the bag was full invitations were sent and bagels wars fought. It was key to defend the kitchen because if you put a stale bagel in a microwave for 6 minutes it makes the worlds greatest smoke bomb, seriously.
