AWESOME. please discuss
Yeah, good on the mongrel. I'm more impressed with Glenn Haden, spends next to no time on a DH bike compared to the rest of the field and still wins nationals and smokes a filed of paid riders. Yeah Crusty!

Not sure how stoked Romano will be on Wyn winning though, jersey or not? Also another top result for the daddy of NZ DH Nathan Rankin.

So many top quality NZ riders on the world stage now, it's close to being the most competitive domestic series in the world. Amazing stuff when you think of A) how small NZ is in size and population and B) how far far away it is from the rest of the world.

The thing is though wyn may not be the best or the fastest but hes getting up and getting press.
Making the effort to do something diffrent.
He aint no slouch on a bike though....

No, I'm pretty sure you're wrong, I'm pretty sure he just proved he WAS the fastest at a huge stacked race. I think thats the point of this thread, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

WYN ON WIDE OPEN
Wide Open is pleased to announce that Wyn Masters will be riding for Team Wide Open this summer. Coming from a strong World Cup season Wyn will team up with young junior Jay Barrett from Hastings.

\"We needed a DH rider for the season with Matt Scoles re signing with his Italian team starting 1st November, and I new Wyn was at a loose end for our summer so we jumped at the chance to get him on Wide Open ,\" said Matt Whitaker, Director of Wide Open. \"We are excited to have someone of his talent and personality on the team\"

Wyn is currently working overseas and will soon be returning home for the summer and will race all NZ Nationals and local events.

You can follow Wyn\"s progress at www.wideopen.co.nz & http://wynmasters.blogspot.com/ and Wyn\"s famous WynTV http://mpora.com/naki_dher/"

just curious. how long does it take to drive from the top to the bottom of NZ?
Depends on what mood the Cooks Straight is in. If she's not happy, ferries aint going nowhere. All going well, two full days of driving.

On Rankin and the M9, saw him on his frist day on it in Rotorua a couple of weeks ago, he was, well mildy stoked would be an understatement.
