Has any body used a Yakama Ankle biter(attaches to crank arm) to transport a 45lb dh bike? Wondering if it would hold up.
I have anklebiters on my car and have had no problems with putting my BB7 and my brother's 2Step DH on there. I have to run the whole setup backwards so everything lines up properly, and cranks can be a limitation sometimes. It's been fine with Shimano, Profiles and Race Face XC cranks, but I have a set of Race Face Prodigy DHs and they won't fit because of how wide they are.

My brother tried to get an anklebiter for his car recently and was told that they aren't being made anymore. If you can't get your hands on one, I would check out the King Cobra instead.

When it's time to get seomthing new, definatly get the King Cora. They work great for DH bikes.

Just stay away from Thule. Great for XC stuff, but they suck for FR/DH bikes.

Yeah, I've got a couple king cobras and they work great for me and my friends' DH/Freeride bikes. Being able to easily adjust them for 20" is kind of cool too.
