Holy hell. Just as we are walking out the door I realize I don't have my keys. I always have my keys. Where the fuck are my keys? I tear apart the house, retrace morning walkies, tear apart the truck and the shed trying to figure out where I had them last. Find my spare truck keys, but we only have the one mailbox key and I only have one PO Box key for the VFW. Wife says let's just go and they will turn up. Stop at Ace and have a spare house key made, hit Bob's Red Mill for a ton of crap, couple stores and shops, then head home. The wife says "did you check the bin with the dog leashes?" Why would my keys be in there? And yet there they were.

I will be obsessing over my pockets for at least a week now.

And they didn't work worth a shit.

Knock on wood, I haven't had one go yet.
The original Mercedes lasted 3-4 years. Since then I get some OEM at Napa or whatever auto parts on the road. Last set are premium Phillips. We'll see how long they last.

Thanks to shitty conditions riding the last few weeks; jockey wheels no longer wish to spin, chain is stretched. So I guess my hardtail is out of action until replacements turn up...

Not sure what size sheathing you are using from the pics, but it looks to be a bit thin for your needs as it seems like roof sheathing.

I hate to be a downer but I just thought I would share some insight before you get too far ahead with your subfloor, being those are 2-foot centers for your post and beam means it should be at least a minimum of 1 1/8 tongue and groove sheathing that is glued and screwed if you want a sturdy subfloor that won't bounce or make noise. Just looking out for ya

Happy Sunday everyone!
Just got home from the A&E clinic.
My bike ride didn't go to well today..... Bloody tree refused to get out of my way. How rude!!!
Xrays all clear, just a lot of soft tissue damage.
Took me 10 mins and a lot of swearing to get the shirt and elbow armor off when I got home.
Got a massive box of Paracetamol, some Ibuprofen and another big box of codeine, and an arm in a sling.
Hospital was quietish today, so was seen within 15min's, xrays 10 mins after that.... Took longer for the Pharmacy to fill my pain meds script lol.
looks like I will miss a few days of work when my next rotation starts this week, Codine like alcohol is on the Thou shalt not list if you want to work at my facility.
Kinda sucks as I was roster on for the 1st and 2nd of Jan, which are both public holidays here, so that would have meant 1.5x rate and another paid day off at a time of you choosing for both of those (so effectively 2.5x hourly rate).

And for the Yanks.... total fees, $0 at the hospital, and $0 for the prescription medicine, and $0 for the physio course (that I need to book on Monday).
All hail socialist medicine!!!!!!!

All the best wishes that you heal up quickly! :thumb:

But please stop promoting those commi ideas about healthcare. This will only instigate violence against CEOs of insurance companies and minimize their profits. And who would want that? ;) :D

Verily, though the sheathing material be but three-quarters of an inch, the joists have all been doubled and are further supported in the center by sturdy vertical posts. The tongue and groove sheathing hath been fastened unto the joists with construction adhesive and secured further with mighty screws, that it might endure steadfastly.

Moreover, we shall lay three-quarters of an inch of hardwood flooring atop the sheathing, and thus are we confident in the strength of the floor that shall be.

I give thanks for thy wisdom and care, and am gladdened that thou watchest over us with such diligence.
