just a little heads up - not sure if you guys & gals already know about this or not, but there's a widespread internet scam that preys upon online for-sale ads, where people (usually from somewhere in west africa) send a very vague email about their intent to buy your item, and that it will be paid for by a "client" of theirs who owes them money. the "client" will give you a phony cashier's check much bigger than your asking price, and the scammer asks you to send another cashier's check for the balance, along with the item.
anyway... it's been a big topic on some other boards i frequent, mainly music-instrument related sales, and i just got the same scam email re: the bike i have for sale on here, so i thought i'd throw out a heads-up to y'all.
so uh... heads up! yeah. if you've been scammed by this sort of thing, head to www.fbi.gov and you can contact them about it, maybe help them catch the weasely bastards.
