Hiding from the stupid
The Citadel said:
The Citadel will be a small planned community of 3,500 - 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson's ideal of Rightful Liberty:

The Towers and Curtain Wall providing the town's primary perimeter defense will be inaccessible to tourists. Each Tower will house condos. The wall sections between Towers will be the location for many of the larger homes. By looking at the Artist's Concept (left) you can see that housing will be well-removed from tourist foot-traffic. The Perimeter Road follows the Curtain Wall.

Each neighborhood within the walls will have lower defensive walls, dividing the town into defensible sections/neighborhoods. Each neighborhood will have similar housing for visual uniformity and aesthetic appeal.

I don't even know what to say about this one. Is it the eventual result of our increasingly polarized political environment? Is it a scam? Is it a joke on those who don't recognize the somewhat socialistic part of the idea. Is it about to be the best reality TV show ever? I do know that every single page on the site is the most jaw droppingly fascinating thing I have found on the web in a while.

So I am guessing they are Atheists with a hankering for inter-racial affairs?

I am all for this nations morons self-segregating themselves. They will no doubt become a great source of unskilled labour.

Sounds like a creepy gun nut cult. And their AR-15's will come in real handy when Obama's fleet of socialist drones fly over and pound them with rockets. Would anyone care for some carpet bombing ?

Sounds like maybe some of the left overs from the Aryan Nation might be trying to rebuild the dream. Too bad really, sure is beautiful country up there. Oh Idaho, you so crazy!

*edit: Irony factor is high considering how close they would be to Moscow (ID).

If it was not for the application fee I would apply as my alter ego, D'brickishaw Jefferson, a direct descendant of the architect of the declaration of independence.

Wow, that's awesome.

Survival of the Citadel Community depends on making employment available for arriving families. We have already launched III Arms, a modern firearms company that will help employ the first wave of III Pioneers. III Arms is also unique in the world of firearms companies in that all profits generated are donated to the Citadel to help build our community.

Additionally, the Citadel intends to become a premiere tourist destination for Americans from sea-to-sea and border-to-border. Not only will tourists travel to see the only real fortified castle & town in America, we intend to offer numerous attractions including a firearms museum where enthusiasts actually get to fire their favorite arms from history!

Are you now, or have you ever been a member of, or associated with any racist group or subversive association that espouses the violent overthrow of these United States or any individual State?
Trick question!

Sound like they require you to love guns but not be good with them. It has been a long time since I have shot and my memory may be clouded by time but I am pretty sure I could regularly go 7 for 10 with a crappy SKS at 300 yards.

Every able-bodied Patriot aged 13 and older governed by this Agreement shall annually demonstrate proficiency with the rifle of his/her choice by hitting a man-sized steel target at 100 yards with open sights at the Citadel range. Each Resident shall have 10 shots and must hit the target at least 7 times.

But it will also be a tourist attraction! I am seeing Branson, but with inbred redneck idiots. Oh wait a minute...

What happens if Junior fails to qualify at the range?

I also like how they will accept gold and silver as payment but not coins with only 90% precious metals, but will take paypal. Once the financial system collapses the only money worth anything will be gold, silver, and paypal.

"Imagine living in a community where you know that residing in every single home in the neighborhood are people who think much as do you, respect most of the values as do you, and will not try to force any of their values on you or your children...”
Except for looking down on you because you choose a revolver over an automatic...or dont drive an Eddie Bauer edition Explorer...
“Imagine living in a neighborhood...has qualified Riflemen inside, ready to come to your aid...."
Until you get into an argument over your dog ****ting their yard...I see neighborhood cross fires on a daily basis.
"...or cover your back in a firefight with an Enemy of Liberty.”
Capiitalized. For Emphasis. Or have they banded together already? COBRA?

I see a collective IQ of about 7 if this place ever takes off.

The people this would attract are the type of people who would turn on each other like a pack of starving dogs if a "natural or manmade disaster" did happen.
