I just started to make my own GG hardware, last year, as things started to fail / wear out. There is room for improvement. I make the replacements out of stainless. I went with a (3) piece design for the horst pivot. It's held up awesome & eliminated the garbage threads in the chainstay...
Yup. It's not a magic bullet on off-cambers, but it does help. When you reach "full lock" with the bar tilted over, the chain is taught, limiting any further tilt. You end up in a stronger body position to keep the dog from roll over.
It's unfortunate to see anyone who starts an independent bike company close the doors. It took a chance on them in 2018 and bought a frame. I've designed / built welded structures for over 20 yrs, and can sympathize with the struggle of domestic fab. Shit is not easy.
