It was a bit outdated in 09 but when that iteration was introduced it wasn't any worse than the competition. 65 ha, 14.7'' bb and the rest was similar to the 2010. It seems bad now but in 07 it wasn't really horrible.

If you don't count the Sunday I don't think they were that slow to adapt. New geo bikes started popping in large numbers 09, the last year of production of the older geo demo. It was still a time when many companies had funky geo. Yes there weren't market leaders in new ideas but it's normal for a big company.
