the usb molly looks so rad.

USB, think you'd ever make an XL molly, with an even longer front end? maybe a 22.8" ? (only reason i say that is my dk xenia 26 felt short in the front with a 22.2"tt until i switched the stem from a 35mm to a 70mm)

i gotta ride one. anyone coming to austin soon? lemme know.

wow, that is nice looking color on the Molly!

I've been digging my green frame for a while now but seeing that is making me think of getting new color this spring. Maybe a light tan like my TrailBoss 250R I had years ago....

CMC- How tall are you? The actual TT measurement while a guide on size is not really a great indicator.
you're exactly right, top tube is not a good indicator because seat tube angles can vary a lot.

the best indicator would be the BB to Headset distance. SEE ATTACHED. if you plumbed two lines straight down to the ground, one intersecting the head tube and one intersecting the bottom bracket. then you measure the distance between the two parrallel vertical lines. this tells you how close your feet/knees are to the front of the bike. that matters more than where the seat is (what top tube/seat tube intersection tells you).

i'm 6'1". on a bmx, i like a 21 or 21.5"tt the best.

At 6-1" the bike should fit you extremely well since Joe, Vance and I all are 6'-1"... Vance is probably 6'-5" by now since he is 15 and growing faster than a weed.

I sent you a pm as well.

yes the tonic fall guy looks awesome. but it not the only bike out there like this. the USB mollly has 990 brakes which i prefer to v-brakes.

I feel that there are too many people trying to fit into some scene.
Is it mountain bike?
Is it BMX?
What the hell, what difference does it make?
Most of us are all hitting the same trails and jumps. Why not have a bike that was made for them?
It is so simple, yet Tonic is the only company making a bike like this.
Tight geometry and a short travel fork!
Duh!

"Um, I need a disc brake on the back."
"I need to shift gears between jumps."
"Big 26 inch wheels are best for smooth dirt jump trails."
People need to wise up and just realize what makes common sense!
I see it over and over again when riders try out a Fall Guy. "Hey, this bike is awesome!" Of course it is, it wasn't designed by some Chinese accountant, like 99% of the bikes out there. It was designed by someone who is an awesome rider and wanted a better bike for himself.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Tonic Fab "Fall Guy" is the best bike out there for dirt jumps, urban, and messing around!

after sitting here most of the afternoon i've decided this fall guy jobbie is my next bike,
its going to be fairly tough to source one here in the uk so i might have to be a bit patient,
i've started a mental list of bits i've already got for the build, i'd be grateful if you'd have a look through the list and comment?
any other idea's for the build up would be appreciated!

profile 36 spoke ss cassette hub 14mm ti axle/9t ti driver/14mm ti nuts
profile 36 spoke mini front hub/ti bolts
THE eliminator 36 spoke rims

profile 180mm race cranks/ti axle/ti flush bolts/ti c-ring bolt/hop up bearings
profile gas pedals
profile imperial ti 25 tooth chainring

kmc 710 sl ti chain
paul moto lite v-brake/ paul love lever

chris king ti headset
s&m redneck xlt stem
gussett open prison 3" rise bars

tioga comp 10 24x1.75 tyres

also,

what would be the perfect stock fork for the fall guy frame?
bearing in mind i'm in the uk so it will be really difficult to get a nemesis fork?
i'm 6'3"

ta very much!
originally posted last year!

I gotta agree with nugget. I just built my bike yesterday and in the last two days I can't keep people away from it. I love it... just evidence supporting my belief that bikes make people happy. After a few days of riding too much I will sit still long enough to snap some pics. As a teaser, union and fly are both doing good work.

Sounds like a tasty build LeRoy.

When I had my Tonic tons of people approached me to say how awesome it was. My current BMX doesn't have the same appeal, but oh well.

busted, i lick my tires, bmxers around here do that too.

its like when you play Ball and whipe your sweaty hands

on your shoes to get them to stick more. we lick our tires

so the grap the park! you don't?
