The HM fills the gap left behind from the TMX and BL. It is made more for drops and Fring. I dont have it complete yet so I dont know the numbers. Doc says it is like the BL less 10lbs

...that sounds really nice ! Except geo and the shock/travel and tb, - any other differences between that and the RL ?

Also, I would love to hear a review from you comparing the BL and HM some day....you must be about the only person on planet earth able to do that....:)

**Chime** The rear in the HM is more responsive, I crushed the Rock garden at Noble Canyon yesterday. My BL didn't responde well to smaller bumps. I was told it was the way the shock was valved. But you can mach into anything, you actually have to. I don't think I've ever bottomed out the BL. I feel the BL handled better, I haven't mastered the front of the HM yet. The rear is just so compliant though. The HM is definatly less fatigue then the BL. And I can pedal that thing up some steep stuff.
Anyone want to buy a BigLink let me know, still a very worthy bike.

Don't sell it or you will be sorry.
Good to know the differences. I can't wait to build mine. I have some parts waiting for me at down cycles. Should be ready soon

Thanks for the review !!! Yeah...for quite some times I have thought about investing in a BL, - but I have to admit that I am in doubt if it is better to wait and get a HM instead.....:) Though, I have to admit that the MTN3 shock on the BL is kind of facinating:p

Well.....difficult.......what about prices.....a used BL versus a new HM.....what do you say ?? Big price difference do you think ?

again...thanks for the replies !

Very very very very nice!!! That is the best looking version of the frame I have seen and also probably the strongest.

I think the pink one is Sverre's. The white one on the same picture is in Norway too.
In Norway...unless there are lots more of them around...hehe

Complete...

In action...

hey, quick question for all you racelink owners....if I put a marzocchi 66 fork on a racelink, will the top crown clear the downtube of the frame? I just got the fork and didnt even think about the top crown clearance issue before i bought it...

my racelink is being finished up and i want to make sure everything is preppped and ready for the frame when it gets here....thanks for the input

Thanks I like it too. It came out better than I imagined

quick and possibly stupid question-
With that BB can you spin it to obtain a different BB height? it looks off center with a possibility for adjustment?

Whats wrong with the shock?
Should be built up in a week or so
No - nothing is wrong with the shock, but if I mention the word "avy" certain people in the BMW thread seems to get agressive.....it was merely a joke - I love the shock, - 3.5"

**** that took a long time to read. Why can't some of you put everything in the one post instead of one straight after the other, and some of you geeks are so bad for Brooklyn,I just wanted as much tech info I could find wich amounts to about 2% of this thread.Otherwise loved the sweet pics of those bikes and them getting a workout. Can't wait to get a leg over one.

If you want a whole forum dedicated to BMW check out www.brooklynmachineworks.co.uk and click on Family or something along those lines.

Did you actually read all 200something pages?!! If so, I'm very impressed. If not, get back to reading so you can pick up that addtional 3.78% tech info, because it's in there, I'm sure of it. ;)

Seriously though, please do ask if you have specific questions. Also a good idea to check out Bklyn UK like DHBiker suggested for more info if you really want some tech facts on our bikes. It's not the main Bklyn site but there's a ton of good info exchanged on the forum there.

Once you swing that leg over you'll understand why we are such geeks for Bklyn. (I'd rather be a geek that a cult, so thanks for sparing us the usual labeling.)

Keep us posted if you have any plans for heading to the US (or Denmark, Sweden, Norway or UK) so we can find a fellow Bklynite who would be kind enough to give you a run or two on their geektastic steed.

What's up with the lame comments? The friggin' thread is called BMW Porn, eh! NOT BMW Tech, or BMW Specs. Mmmmkay, ill-chay on the anks-ray, please. Unless you're just looking to stir sHHnitz up, in which case....please still chill on the ranks. Sheesh. We also were kind enough to direct to a place where you could find more tech-specific posts so it makes me think you're looking to get a rise out of the troups. Big "L" on the forehead for that.

Lowest RL weight I know if is mine at 44lbs but I haven't gone weight weenie on it, so I imagine I could dump another couple pounds if I was so inclined.

Hitman's weight is too much for it to be a consideration if you're worried about weight. It's at least ten pounds heavier than the average RL.

No headtube flairing on the RL. Dunno about the Hitman.
