That thing is pimpin.

Few question on the RL. Whats the headtube stack height? Does it allow 26" rear wheels?

any questions>>>>????? has any one tried urban with a 6 inch travel frame with a shock resevior? no, they probably havent and for good reason.

oh, the frame wheighs 10 pounds...

Do you even know which website you're checking out? I'm fairly sure that most of us here on this board havr ridden a bike similarly set up. Maybe not as nice as Doc's, but there are plenty of people here who ride six inch bikes for street/urban. Maybe you haven't looked around lately, but things are evolving a little since the days of rigid. Suspension opens up tons of opportunities for peole who ride it. I personally just sold my Full suss bike, but I still love what it does for my confidence on street, and the tires are also a no brainer. Hook worms are one of the best tires going for street. Think out your replies before you post them, it might save you a ton of riddicule here

Mike, yeah I'm in the UK, based in north London. Am I right in thinking you're from the Sheffield area? My girlfriend comes from up there, we should hook up for a TMX riding session sometime when we visit her parents.

Great, I'll give you a shout next time we're up, probably won't be for a while though as we've only just been up. That Endor place on your website looks like a lot of fun.
Last time I went to Wharncliffe, some bast**ds smashed the rear window of my car and stole some bags - they got away with a pair of old walking boots, my dainese backplate and a holdall containing a tub of dog biscuits and his grubby towel!!
The rear window cost hundreds to replace (for the insurance company) for them to steal worthless stuff. The funny thing is what they missed, tucked down behind the drivers seat was a £500 digital camera!!!

Lucky basterd.

Ask DOC what the availibility on them is, and how long the wait is. I may be able to purchase the frame this winter if all goes as planned. If I work atleast 17hrs a week till May I can do it, then I just have to sell my v10 frame and I have a complete racelink pretty much. I just picked up a Dorado today for it.

youre gonna have to change your name to SuperSick !

congrats on the new rig !

are there any RLs in your area? have you ever seen one in person? I never had seen a RL in person when i ordered mine and then like 2 weeks before mine was ready to ship, i saw one. It made that last 2 weeks seem like 4ever. They are soo incredible.

Are you keeping the color(s) and build sheet under secret until it is finished? If not, lets hear all the juicy details !!

congrats !

youre in for a freekin giant surprise! i had never seen a TMX either until i bought mine. after i sold it and was looking at the RL in the internet, they looked kinda dainty?? was i ever wrong. You just have to see it in person. Yet I was alittle worried when the UPS guy showed up holdin this small lookin box. My fears were put to rest when i lifted the beast out of the box. I didnt give up anything in the burly factor by selling the TMX. this thing rocks like jailhouse swingset. Amazingly, the frame stands 13.5" tall.

Enjoy the 3 month wait until Jan. everyone goes thru it. kind of a right-of-passage type thing.

Joel, would you care if I got the pink decals incase Doc couldnt make the carbon ones?
i dont give a crap. i just want you off the Sc and rollin a BMW already j/k ;) (little voices) make the call ... place that order.

i wasnt the first with a pink stickered BMW anyway:)

Just honor the pink by keepin it tasteful. no pink brake cable housing ETC.

Nice, I would love carbon, I was really going for the slealthy look. Maybe I will call him and ask or if tmx knows if its possible. I am really worried if I order it now that I wont have the money or it will take longer then I expected and I will miss races like Mt. Snow that are early in the season...

reminds me of a sad event in my life. i smashed a nearly full 1/2 gallon (those cool glass jugs you can take home) of the stuff on the kitchen tile floor. how heart-rending is that? bb was an hours drive (and a border crossing) away. i've yet to find a local brewpub with such consistantly awesome beer.

you can have custom stickers made at a local sign shop. not sure that BMW is gonna custom make sticker kits, especially if youre wanting it sooner rather than later. Let the guys build the bikes, save the LD call. It's not like that is a deciding factor for ya anyway.

Yippee! youre probably lookin at the $1500 ballpark for the v10. the sweet thing about BMW is that they dont fatigue, ding, dent, crack or wear out like an aluminum frame will. this bike will last you for along time. youre 16 now and most likely a freekin monster on a bike already. Between 16 and 20 years, your skills are going to skyrocket. It would be nice to have a bike that will last you those 4 years and be just like new the whole time. just throw some new bearings and new paint to change things up alittle once a year. Once you make that first big investment in the frame, your ahead of the game in the long run.

Obviously, dont get yourself in financial trouble. ride the v10 in 05 if that's what you have already planned on doing. money 4 building a new ride, new safety gear and travel money for next year does not grow on trees. do what you can and whats realistic for your age and income. Hit youre parents up for a chunk of change for making A's in school or something.

later, im going to dinner!

Thanks for all the help. I was thinking about the same for the V10 frame. I was kind of thinking the same about making the big investment. The way I see it, I pay $3,700 for a top of the line frame that will last me a long time rather then buy a new race bike year after year and lose a bunch of money like I have been. Even though I am a racer I need the extra strength, I am not small (6'3'' 260lbs) and I am not the smoothest rider. I definetly want a bike to hold up to my and my riding conditions whether it be 4 years of dh use or hucking (15ft is my biggest so far) I dont think I will have any problems with money. I am going to pay for the frame myself but I most likely wont have all the money by January if thats when it comes, but thats when I can borrow some cash from my mom and pay her back as I get paychecks. Anyway, I'll put my V10 up for sale soon and see how that goes. I am going to make sure I sell the V10 before I go placing an order on my frame.

take notes and let us know w/ pics how it goes cause you'll have to have the "end caps" i guess they're called machined to accept the 12mm axle. to my knowledge, CK does not make a 12mm thru axle.
