Probably would have been worth a drive across the border for some cheap american rubber.
They'd definitely ding me at the border and have me pay taxes. That plus the $100 in gas it would take to get there and back doesn't really make it worth it.

Plus, you know, our fancy coloured plastic money isn't very highly regarded down there lol

How the hell would they know you bought tires?

Fun fact: I once helped smuggle a Korean friend into Canada and back for a weekend of partying. His visa expired and couldn't legally cross any borders. dressed him up like a fisherman and boated him over.

I'd have the 4 summer tires in the back of my car (getting new rims in the spring).
