Well, she didnt pay for them by working hard and saving her pennies.
The people making threats against her are stupider then she is...whacking her will only wreck the kids. I mean, more then they have been wrecked already.

I would suspect the threats are a publicity stunt.

Disability, not welfare.
She got both welfare and disability. Does it matter if the $$ came out of one check over the other? The fact is she was on disability, birthing 13 too many kids, and made the state pay for the procedures.

you don't get it, the state didn't pay for the operations, insurance programs funded by tax payers did. Those are two completely different things.:clue::brow:

I would strive to ensure her continued existence, just so that she can be held responsible for the next 18-something years for what she has created.

Are you sure about that? I didn't think Medicaid covered fertility treatments. I believe she had to pay out of pocket, though what was in her pocket came from disability.

I was not under the impression that she was receiving any welfare (yet). Food stamps and other assistance, but not welfare.

Right, and the disability insurance payments came from....(hint, see where she worked).

So who pays for food stamps? :brow:

Yes, we all know that she's not paying for this herself. Thanks for that brilliant insight. We're all in agreement that she is grossly irresponsible and completely insane and a burden on everyone around her.

The point is that there are different types of aid, and it is not useful to lump them all under the banner of "welfare," especially since that is by definition incorrect. The disability was from some loon flipping a desk onto her. As much as we may despise her, that is legitimate. She was paying taxes and her employer was paying for disability insurance at the time. You would expect the exact some thing should someone drop a desk on your spine at work. It is not a handout. It is not welfare. It is a safety net SHE PAID FOR.

Now how she chose to use that money was completely irresponsible, and facilitated by a combination of parental enablement and state assistance (food stamps), but it doesn't change the fact she didn't steal that $165k from taxpayers. The other reality is our bankrupt society is going to give her enough book and movie deals that she won't need public assistance anymore, so the total amount that she has leached from society is the food stamps. Feel free to get angry about that, and just that (and maybe what she did to her poor [spineless] mother).

I find it odd she was able to birth 6 kids, yet was unfit to return to work with a bad back. I am also concerned that 50% of said kids have issues and are on SSI, none were conceived in a conventional manner, and yet she still felt the need to have not one, but eight additional.

As much as I despise government intervention, this is one case where the gene pool lifeguard should have removed her from the area 12 kids ago.

We're in agreement. Lots of failures here. I'm just saying it is useful to understand what they actually are, rather than simply declaring "welfare paid for her 14 babies. burn her!"

way to go hijacking the thread by focusing on semantics of welfare vs. government funded disability payments which all go toward funding her babies.

I love it when people say "I'm just saying...." or "I was just trying to make a point that....".

government funded disability payments
They are only government funded payments if you believe the government actually owns the right to all of your money. You pay for disability insurance. Your employer pays for disability insurance. The fact that the state underwrites that policy doesn't make it function any different than auto insurance. You pay for a service and have a right to it when needed. With insurance you "win" when **** gets ****ed up.

Wouldn't you be upset if you've been paying unemployment taxes/insurance for all of these years, and then when laid off someone said you couldn't collect the unemployment you paid for because that was welfare and you were stealing from everyone who paid into it? Car insurance is even worse! It can be entirely your own fault and you STILL get paid. OMFG, the communism of it all!

It's only semantics if you don't understand what the two words mean.

her employer was the state.
Seriously? You still don't get this?

Unless you think her wages while she was working were welfare, then the fact that she was employed by the state makes no difference. Are police on welfare? What about firefighters? When a firefighter is burned in the line of duty and goes on disability, is he or she getting welfare? What do you have against firefighters?

Just help me understand where welfare begins and ends in your head.

if anybody was looking to get off pr0n, here's the push you need: Vivid and Nadya Suleman to make – a porno???
Today’s installment of the “Adventures of Octomom” has Nadya Suleman being offered $1 million and free medical and dental insurance for her and her brood - if she stars in multiple porn videos.

Vivid Entertainment, the world’s largest peddler of adult flicks, has just fired off a letter to the serial mom asking her to consider becoming a contract “Vivid Girl” (like Jenna Jameson) and starring in a few X-rated flicks, TMZ.com reports.

Who knew stretch marks - after a whopping 14 kids - were sexy?
so what's the +/- that burly would hit this?

Speaking of freaks, what happened to the chica selling her virginity on the internet? And the thread?

Octopublicist #2 quits. "She's nuts."

Victor Munoz, the latest rep for octuplets mom Nadya Suleman, has told Usmagazine.com that he's resigned. And while no one's exactly accused Suleman of good judgment lately, she can probably do better than a publicist who offers up these choice quotes along with news of his resignation: "It's pretty much a free-for-all over there right now. They are freaking out ... Nadya got real greedy. This woman is nuts." Munoz is the second publicist to leave the octo-nest; an earlier rep quit after her firm received a slew of hate mail.

& no less so even after the deed, for i think she is now able to collect seeds in a like manner to the feeding habits of starfish.

in the mid 80's i went to this strip club in chinatown (d.c.) where a lady would "smoke" cloves while she crab-walked. i was transfixed, but could not speak

saw the original line up of megadeth there when they opened for anthrax, so it has a warm place in my heart.

i hated people who bought their ironic t-shirts at smash records, accessorized at cmdr salamander, then pranced & preened @ poseurs, and finished it all up by crossing key bridge & messing up my 4 a.m. alone time w/ my scrapple @ bob & edith's diner with their off-key humming of "love will tear us apart".
