August is a fucking dream come true in Montana, it's warm and mostly dry but not the pre-inferno dry heat of the Colorado Rockies.Do you suppose it'll warm up by August?

Not in my experience, in most cases you are good to ride through October, the 2016 season lasted much longer.Damn near back to winter in late August!
you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows...Damn near back to winter in late August!
Mostly joking. It's beautiful out there and I'd love to make the trip. Not in my experience, in most cases you are good to ride through October, the 2016 season lasted much longer.
I like dogs. I think there are trails near Yellowstone...This is sounding like a trip we might be able to make (part of). We have to be back for 8/28 so we would need to arrive back in ny on or before 8/27. That being said, we would need to leave by the 24th I think as we're travelling with the girls and our camper. What's the dog policy? Ours is a great trail dog, but can also be an a-hole (likes to get into garbage and will eat anything!) if he isn't tired out...which shouldn't be too big a problem if he's going out on rides.
We'd also really like to take some time in Yellowstone with the girls...not sure if there is any riding in or around there, but just putting it out there.

I haven't made it down to Salmon to ride but there's someone on MTBR (tim?) Who posts regular TR...OOF, might be up in the air, coworker left and that is technically my busy season. Before I could have swung it with him covering. Now.....
Curious though, has anyone ridden in Salmon, Idaho?
Yah, I've been checking out tha site. I'm intrigued.I haven't made it down to Salmon to ride but there's someone on MTBR (tim?) Who posts regular TR...
I think this details some of the goods:

And will be given espresso and a free kitten. Its never too late in Montana, although I have heard that attending children need to be well trained beer assistants.
Have you ever met a wolverine?Somebody's bringin' their mom? Is she gonna cook? 'Cause having a grammy at camp... that makes camp officially Awesome™.
I grew up in a state FULL of Wolverines.Have you ever met a wolverine?
The more the merrier...i may tag along with @carolpeters (that's my Mom) and bring my wife and 7 year old. is it too late to be the first tardy sign up?
This is correct, all (child) servers are required to pass a quiz to ensure no session beers will be served. Its never too late in Montana, although I have heard that attending children need to be well trained beer assistants.

unlike brother johnbryanpeters, i am old enough to be completely uselessI am going to practice making whole wheat and almond flour flapjacks, if successful I will make them for all. As long as the women folk chop the wood. That is not a euphemism.
My oldest is excellent at cooking bacon and I have a huge portable grill/griddle that we will be bringing.I am going to practice making whole wheat and almond flour flapjacks, if successful I will make them for all. As long as the women folk chop the wood. That is not a euphemism.
What about a double session? The more the merrier...

Initial test was promising, whole wheat flapjacks cooked on bacon fat should be amazing. My oldest is excellent at cooking bacon and I have a huge portable grill/griddle that we will be bringing.
Also -- I have been told that I chop wood well (euphemism or not lol)
Kill it with fire...Picked up an Altec Lansing Life Jacket 3 Bluetooth speaker today, it has 30 hours of battery life suitable for annoying other campers well into the night.
My chief justification was to cover your snores...Kill it with fire...
While troubling, the article is not terribly clear on what the "bicycle fee" is for, how it will be collected or even enforced. Second, while its not PC to say so, some roadies are rude and inconsiderate. Making sweeping judgmental statements based on limited facts is the current direction of politics. Thanks Trump. What is this shit?
First they came for the road cyclists, and I didn't speak out -- because I don't wear spandexHaving out of state cyclists pay for aquatic invasive species mitigation?
I'd like that as asshole to explain just how out-of-state cyclists have ANY skin in that game.
