Actually I think it was because there was a World Cup race the following weekend and they didn't want to risk injury.
I know how they feel. I hold back at northstar every weekend so that I can go all out at northstar the following weekend.

I rode up there today. It's really freakin good right now. By the time you guys get here, I will have made it all dusty though.

Don't get too upset. You have to surf on snow at the top and roll around boulders that have migrated into the lowest part of every trail (where you probably ride).
............ooh but the "stadium" jump at the bottom has recieved some TLC.
