Check. I placed the order today. I am sure I can find a rear derailleur, but think I will just go with Force for now. I am not switching calipers or front derailleur for now, so it's quilt time. oster_oops:
Nice dude, that'll be a sweet ride.I'm putting them on my Masi Speciale Carbon.
Rival is being moved to the CX bike and the Campy is being relegated to anyone that wants to buy it.
Roughly:Can y'all update us on product line comparisons?
Like I think most would compare Veloce to 105, etc.
Where does RED fall in comparison in quality and in price?
It's a decent group, good for the level it is. It does have the carbon Ultra-Torque crank option though.Campy used to have this good budget group called Centaur, then they had to go and screw the Centaur shifters over.
It is.i thought it was supposed to be a little more than DA...
I'll hook a brutha up on some Centaur G levers and derailleurs.Campy used to have this good budget group called Centaur, then they had to go and screw the Centaur shifters over.
Yeah, but less than Record. It is.
Yeah. I have set some groups up and can't decide which is nicest to me. I think I prefer Record the least. I am sure it's because of being used to Shimano.Yeah, but less than Record.
Wasn't saying that Record/DA/Red were the same pricing, just that they were the 3 high-end groups...
I like Force, but man, Dura Ace is just sooooo nice. The Red I got to check out (not ride) on our show bike felt amazing though, so I'm looking forward to riding it for real.Yeah. I have set some groups up and can't decide which is nicest to me. I think I prefer Record the least. I am sure it's because of being used to Shimano.
Anything Italian is stupid right now.Anyone priced out Record kits lately? YIKES! Looks likes a major chunk more than D-A....which is $200/300 less than Red.
You have to be a real Campy afficianado to buy record these days. but then again I'm no dyed in the wool campy dude either.
Yeah thats what Our reps were telling us too, Feeding to us that its actually a step above DA. I havent had a chance to ride the res yet, but the force was awesome. We have an 08 Madone coming in next week with Red shifters for one of our team riders. Cant wait to build it upi and test ride it, seeing how it my size and everything!!!I always thought that Force = DA and Rival = Ultegra as far as performance price point etc. The Red stuff is just insane.
I think that hits the nail right on the headFor that matter, all the top-end stuff works at an incredibly high level so to me the differences are subjective.
Pics coming tomorrow. Inaugural ride to come at 10 am.
Turns out the roadie helps, eh???If you ever ride dirt* again, give me a shout, roadie.
