I would really like to hear from people who have migrated from a Fox 40 to a Boxxer. I've been running a '07 Fox 40 for the last 5 seasons. It's been and still is a good fork...but It is a bit heavy...and sometimes feels a bit "clunky" and unresponsive in technical terrain. It has an almost "wooden" kind of feel to it and always seems to want to stick at lower speeds.
Is it the age? or does a Boxxer, with the smaller diameter stanctions have a more "nimble" feel in general? I know the Boxxer is lighter...and I am trying to get the bike under 40lbs. ( 2008 IH Sunday WC)
I know both forks have great qualities...but I'd really like to know what the differences are.
Thanks in advance for any replies...
