Last ride in this place until it dries out next summer. Too bad it is the only place available by riding out the door. Now it is short pieces of trail connected by greasy dirt skinny's as shown below.

I've had a Float X2 for sale since March or somewhere around there. I didn't price it at bottom of the barrel, as having a backup shock isn't a bad thing these days.

Well I haven't received a single message about it, so I slapped it on the bike this morning and took it for its first ride. Just a short one on some mellow trails, but it gave a intro. It definitely has more midstroke support or whatever, compared to the Marzocchi Bomber coil I've been running on this frame. Much less effort required to get the front wheel up.

I think I'll leave it on for a while... how many hours until it explodes?

Still haven't found an air cap for my fork.. :disgust:

Sooner it explodes, sooner you get a brand new 'reliable' one.

Thought I was going to get ina dry ride. Marine Layer had other ideas, was nice above 2500ft.

A little humid. Still had hard compound OEM spec tires mounted, regrets were had.

Fun was had. Got two friends to do their first large and kinda steep rock slab rolls. One of which was unintended, buddy out front just rode off it so we followed (I knew what was coming, they didn't... ). Everyone and all wheels survived.

Some slick roots made the tech climbs a little extra hard.

The spawn and spawner took off for the night so I worked on some trails and took a short pedal around the ridge line. Such nice weather, it's gonna be a transition into cold riding gear soon.

Got some Alaskan freeriding in today. We climbed up to some slabs and rode down a bunch of lines. Good times.

I spied a emtb at the eco resort. It seemed workable, so I tool it for a spin up the hill. Halfway up, I saw a trail off to the right, so I took it. It turned out to be a super trail with a few hike a bike section which were tough with the heavy bike! I took it all the way to the top, then turned round and bombed down. Fun times. Proper footwear and trousers did not get in the way. I definitely see the appeal of the emtb… didn’t particularly love it, but it made for a very good morning.

68 freedom units when we started the ride tonight. Twas downright HOT.

Leaf surfing is here. Fingers crossed that the local leaf blowers have moved on to blow other things this year.
