Definietly cold out in the morning, this evening for 4x it was getting pretty cold when the wind started to pick up again as well.

No official men's results from 4x qualis yet. Lopes, Dan Atherton, Prokop, Graves are within about a half second of each other (unofficial times so far). Kintner was first for the women.

I was looking at your report for the day on Transcend.com. Since when is 18 degree C (64 degrees F) cold? Is there that much of a cold breeze?

It was 26c the day before, 18 and cloudy and windy is pretty damn chilly, and yesterday it was 15 all day in town, colder up here.

yeah. . . everyone else thinks it's more rad to learn bar spins and test their suspension forks to the skate park.

i really wanted to do Vigo and Maribor. it looks rad, but for my real job i'm a teacher. lots of time off in the summer but not in mid May or early September.

of course i'd really just be another body on course, no where near fast enough to be considered a tru "world cup" rider. Duncan is really the only guy left. . . Strait's going where the $$ is (and getting a bit fat from the looks of it).

We owe it all to the lack of promotion with the only U.S. gravity based magazine 'decline' for too much huckflipspin promtion.

Lee, go to Maribor, it is a classic world cup event.

with all the Decline bashing, i should point out that they did step up and sponsor a UCI team, when no one else would, so there could be a US presence at the world cups. . . i'd be going no where without that help.

seems there's a huge market for the street/park/huckflipwhatever scene and they cover a lot of it. . . . can't just blame the mag for it, until just recently there was no real US downhill racing worth promoting.

Gerrit has been on the gas ever since he recovered from his shoulder injury. He said before we drove him to JFK airport that he wanted to finish in the top 10. I think he can do it if he sets his mind to it. Lets just hope he has a level head the day of the race. The last WC he did was the worlds in Italy(2005). Good luck G-RAT. Tare it up MOFO.

well i'm trying to do my part to get more RACE coverage in the mag... a few smaller events in previous issues... & now a FONTUCKY Winter Series 6 page spread in the new issue... As i'll be going to most of the races this summer (at least in the US), i'll hopefully be able to get more RACE action in the mag!

Maribor should be bithcin! i'm planning to go there as well!

Wicked, thanks....
Very cool that DH honchos like Rennie, Hannah and Graves are doing 4X in addition to the DH-love getting my moneys worth.

As for decline and their 'team' what does being on the team entail? free bikes, all expenses? do tell...
10 pro riders getting together and pitching in to buy the our way into
world cups. everyone has the own sponsors but @ world cups we
ride decline, b/c they give us the huge salary's that UCI requires....

i came up with it but couldn't have done it w/o the cooperation of
the team members to get it done by FEB and old friend hart @ DECLINE.

just for ridemonkey, and unfinished BIO for team decline.

How come Sabrina is not racing 4x?

And anyone know if semi-retired Tomas Misser is making a spanish appearance? Misser, my all time favorite DH rider, love this man...in a non-gay way.
