by the way.

the a.t.v.er we had to wait on this past saturday, DID NOT DIE.

he was spectating up at the top of rattlerock, turned his a.t.v. around to leave, and it rolled.
clobbering him twice as they rolled down the rocks in unison.

broken ribs.
collapsed lung.
dislocated shoulder.

he WAS wearing a helmet and riding gear.

I remember last year at the end of the season when it was so dry that even dropping in after the first road crossing up top was super sketchy, well, anyway , I remember the spine had braking bumps in it that felt like whoops on a moto track.
It made for an interesting journey.
I think I sharted at least twice.

Shoo, now the spine is peppered with rolly-polly rocks on top of the brake holes. It is a spicy sause!

to those who've ridden the past two weekends to help "bed the trails in"
i hope everyone enjoyed riding the bridge that WAS at the trail 14 crossing.

my little vandal buddy(i'm 95% sure i know who it is) struck again.

this time i'll just disassemble it, and turn it into the ramp we need at the point rock at the end of the old freeride section.

i'll be there saturday to build a small tunnel, and build up over it with rocks. then later filling the gaps with concrete.
it'll be lower than the old bridge that was there before. so unfortunately, the smokin fast entrance to the waterfall the bridge allowed is no more.

i take great satisfaction in knowing that when i had trouble with this guy last year, i took it right to his face.
obviously, he doesn't have that same amount of backbone.

Sounds like someone you know needs a visit between his nuts, a car battery and a couple of jumper cables...

he's a member of one of the original families that have lived in these parts for generations.
arson, vandalism, ambushing and doing whatever they want whenever they want is a way of life with them.

there's not a lot you can do about it. except keep the eyes in the back of your head open, and be fully ready to take care of yourself up here.

this ain't no foo-foo ski resort.

that's ok.

another weekend is approaching and we'll be rippin it up.

he's not worth the effort. and like we were talking about last weekend, there's more to loose than gain from all this now.

but in the long run, we'll remain on the high ground.
the club is aware of this, and my decision on how to deal with it.

we're golden.

We could make a movie called Red Neck fight. Offer 2 rednecks a dale jr hat. Tell them to fight for it. winner takes all! Sort of like Bum Fight.

you're a pretty funny guy, aren't ya ?

i'm just over everybody in nascar hovering over his every move and words. and the way he whores himself out, selling any and everything somebody pays him to.
and all this after saying over and over how carefull he was going to be not to over expose himself in the media.

tony stewart rules.
he's fat, unshaven, rich, two time champion, and doesn't give a sh.. about what anybody thinks about him.

Real Nascar is dead like disco. To many flash in the pan teams, drivers, and sponsors that will hit the streets at the first hint of a drop in TV ratings.

I think the marketing guys at Viagra should be canned for not signing Dick Trickle to a 10 year deal minimum...think of the catch phrase...

"Take it from me, Dick Trickle....Viagra works!"

Too funny!

BTW, I bet you have to be one tough redneck to have a name like Dick Trickle. I wonder if that is his racing name.

Maybe 2 or 3 times removed, but they do look a bit similar.

I'm not really recommending it. But your an adult (<- although some may argue otherwise :) ) and you can make your own decisions. But he needs to put a number 8 sticker on his frame.

Yeah. I could spout off a list of "some" of them, but then this would turn into the thread from a month ago on here or sound like every xc ride I take when I'm not w/ rams or the other good guys in town. All I know is I'm saving my dimes because its been too long since I've heard that WWII era propoganda pa system blairing 'the god's truth' as I come down that hollow. And trail 1 being back together. And all the other stuff I hear about this winter and the photos I've seen.

I know. I'm mostly a lurker myself w/ the occasional stealthy post. But I seriously doubt any of those cats know who I am or give 2 sh!ts about my opinions. I'm not vocal enough and I didn't work in a 'real shop' so I don't count....at least thats the attitude I get.

Speaking of the church and snake charming...is that good ol' boy who was driving the clapped out escort w/ his "pet" snake in one arm still rolling around that place? He was one interesting character and I think I understood a total of 5 words he said.

Sorry to derail the thread......those pics look damn pretty. How was the road gap feeling?
