revised shock mounting (among other stuff). is this what you guys have currently, or yet another proto iteration?Stanny
Cedric in early practice sessions. He was the first guy down the course, 30 mins before practice actually officially began. His OTHER wrist is now in a brace.

is he using some kind of neck support (h.a.n.s or something)??
If by low tech you mean simple, there in lies it's strength, one of the greatest DH bikes of all time, and it looks neat, I think. It´s just so low-tech it´s ugly.
Awesome! Killer footage Fraser. ThanksFriday video recap is up with plenty of riding footage.

I don't wanna drag this discussion up in the WC thread, but this is inaccurate. Single pivot bikes (such as the 224, and Morewoods, etc) are viable options these because of the advances in shock technology. Single pivots bikes USED to suck donkey balls because the dampers that were going on them were insufficient. It´s a simple bike, marketed with it´s simplicity. You need to get the shock properly tuned to get it working. Low maintanance does not equal function for it´s ultimate purpose.
It´s stuck. No progress.
I hope he does better than Mike Haderer does in the DH.28. Michael Robert Haderer (USA) 3.4 'Merka! Go Michael!
Not really. Transcend recently posted 224 frame weight w/o shock and it came at about 3.9kg. Far from lightest. The 2 lightest frames on the market now are soccom and lapierre (3.55kg w/o shock) and both are virtuals. Maybe sunn is somewhere around that.If I'm not mistaken, the 224 is one of, if not THE lightest production bike available (and has been for a few years now)
