Orange Gatorade.

Last night was the High Life, as I had heard from one of the bosses that my job is on the rocks right now...

But I agree, life is good!

Finally got around to trying Goose Island Bourbon County last night. It's pretty good, but not even close to Brooklyn Black Ops as far as bourbon barrel aged stouts go. Had some Ithaca Smoked Porters too, which are really fvcking good.

The Goose Island is decent. Black Ops is INCREDIBLE. Goose Island is a little too sweet for my taste. The Black Ops is less sweet, tastes more like bourbon, and has a bit more of an alcohol burn than the Goose Island, which doesn't really at all. It's easily one of my couple favorite beers ever.

I like the smoked porter a lot too. It's easily the smokiest smoked beer I've ever had. It's pretty much like sticking your face in a camp fire, except you can drink it.

I found a new love tonight.......

Hashigo Zake cult beer bar :cupidarrow::cupidarrow::cupidarrow:

I had a Yeastie boys Yakima monster followed by a Rogue dead guy and the Rogue extra dead guy (I think that was the name of it?? An Imperial version of the dead guy) and I have taken home (they let you do take outs of both bottled and tap beers, 11 tap beers 2 of them hand pulled, beers always changing) a Nøgne Julesnadder Porter which I'm quaffing now. :D:thumb:
The beer list at that bar is unreal (as are some of the prices.....)!!!!

*edit* the beers listed on the website is rather less than what is actually in the bar....... I'd guess from the menu at the bar that there are at least another 20-30 beers.

Had a glass of Three Floyds Dark Lord at work yesterday. Fantastic beer.

A demonic Russian Style Imperial Stout, brewed with Intelligensia coffee Mexican vanilla, and Indian sugar this beer defies description, available one day a year in April at the brewery, Dark Lord Day.

Amber. Homebrew
Stuff is amazing.

I gave a bottle to a friend last Friday and she exclaimed upon sipping her first sip, "Tastes like dessert!"
which I guess is her way of saying it's special and yummy?
