Looks like some dark horses really showed that they are serious as well

Gracia, Riffle and Rat boy all in the top 15 or 20. Im impressed. Smith put on a good showing to. I guess it wasn't just bad fluke weather in St. Anne

Yeah forgot the weather turning was essentially the reason an elite cyclist ended up failing a doping test!! Makes a change to the roadies! That stuff houseman was on was seriously performance enhancing!!

Amazing result for Gwin, peat is on fire, barel is a machine and if that track didn't have the flat pedal, how close to podium would the likes of bryceland of been?

Then again woulda shoulda coulda, Gwin dida and blew everyone away. Gonna be an amazing season!

So stoked for Gwin. What an effort! I saw Palmer win at Big Bear and that was entirely too long ago!

Too much positive talk. Here are some topics to get butthurt over:

  • Riffle vs. [insert other American ride you think should have a factory ride but doesn't]
  • Neko vs. Troy Brosnan - who's the boss? Who asks "What can I do today to be world champ?" more frequently?

Gwinn deserved that win. I think out of all the interviews I heard he was the only one that didn't really complain about the track. Just put his work pants on and got it done. Well done sir well done

Anyone find details on whether Hannah's stem snapped and caused a wreck, or if it was a result of the wreck?

edit: stoked Gwin won, bummed for Hannah- I was excited to see his run!

re Neko vs Troy... I don't think i'd say either is boss... they were within one second of each other. I'd call that an epic battle.

Riffle's on my Dirt Fantasy Team... :thumb:

this was a good race with lot's of suspense. bodes well for the rest of the season. it seems the field is much more open now with more than three dudes that are capable of a win. this is a great start to what will undoubtedly be a great season!

I'm pretty sure riffle just gave a big proud bird to everybody and anybody who said he doesn't deserve factory support and isn't as good as other american riders.

good for him.

and the time between neko and brosnan is close. Its gonna be a rad season for the juniors.

Same here. I didn't do great at this race cause I have Hill and Jonnier on my team, and stupidly picked fearon before finding out that he wasn't riding this season, so I think my team is F*ed, but Hill, barel, and jonnier could still pull it together.
