Unfortunatly no.
I'll prolly end up recreating the scene on Sunday though. My new rim isn't in yet, so I'm still riding that totally borked wheel.
I will bring a backup. I'm not THAT dumb.
In short, you need new spokes. Since the 823s use 16mm nipples, and you've got 12mm, that's an additional 4mm your spokes are too long by. 6.5mm is way too much to deal with.
If you borked a wheel that badly you really should use new spokes anyway.
Pontiac, Saturn and now Saab are DEAD
Supercar company Kooennnissieegg and Spyker were smart enough to back out of the deal just like Penske did with Saturn

man you guys suck. This is uncalled for!
No I won't be there this weekend. My finger is still borked.
Last I heard the Delta House crew won't be there either.
Search is broken...
Curious to know others experiences flying with bikes. I've always shipped mine, but don't have that luxury this time around. I'm bring a road bike with me to Utah in a week and don't want to fork out the cash for oversized, so I'm thinking of putting the frame/wheels in...
comparing a spree to an elite 80 is kind of unfair... 50 vs. 80 cc for one.
here's a spree for comparison:
(i have to admit i like how honda hasn't messed with the elite's design AT ALL since the 80s, sort of their own sharp edged retro-homage a la vespa without the tight pants and...
lol...Who's Opie? No need to borrow a bikey. Have enough to keep me busy year round, and prolly put more mileage on them than many of the lounge regulars here...
Somebody's sarcasm meter is borked.
Watch for these --> ;) ;) ;)
I'll be wearing my ridemonkey shirt when I'm watching. When I'm riding I'll probably be the ONLY person there riding an Ironhorse MKIII. :) I always feel funny riding my little bike there. :)
I did ride Diablo a few years back on a Trek 4500. That was um....... interesting.
...then. I have not changed my diet but have cut caffine out except for lunchtime at work. I have not started working out since my knee is still borked but therapy starts next week and I'm hoping that leads to a rebirth at the gym.
I would start by buying a BP monitor at your local drug...
...advice. I guess I would figure that if the dropouts were so out of whack that the rear rim actually touches the frame, it would be evident at a glance that the frame was borked. If it's the tire touching the frame, though, and not the wheel as indicated the dropouts could easily be tweaked a bit.
