Eagle GX derailleur derailing off pulleys?

I’ve got a GX Eagle setup that has started to derail off the pulleys. They setup is still shifting good but it’s 6 months old and on original chain, derailleur and cassette.i did just replace the front chainring, swapping the aluminum Sram with the steel version. Chain? Pulleys? Other?

    Are you embarrassed...

that while downhill skiing and slalom require the skill to steer on off camber, the mountain biking equivalent is becoming more bermy? Makes you wonder how lame skiing would be if the just littered the hill with berms or how more awesome mountain biking would be with less berms.

    Thoughts on secondary wheelsets?

I have the original DT Swiss 1900 wheelset that came with my SB6. They are brand new and still unused. I have tried to sell them, at a bargain, but no real interest has been raised. The wheels that replaced them are i9 hubs laced on 30mm Stans Flow. I'm meh about the rims, but the hub engagement...

    Helmet choices....

I despise my Giro Montaro MIPS. First of all I don't believe in MIPS for mountain biking. As I see it, the MIPS dohicky just pulls at my hair and its an up sale. The padding in the Montaro is super cheap for such an expensive helmet. The pads buckle around the edges and eventually become unglued...

Stans Flow MK3 and/or Maxxis EXO...

One or both of these can suck a bag of something. I have never had so many cut sidewalls. Which is the weak link here? I keep winning these EXO tires at races and them seem legit, but damn I'm tired of ruining rides. Or perhaps is these stupid 30mm rims from Stans?

    Fox Float 34 Spring Question

Merry Cranksgiving, I have always been a RS guy, so excuse my ignorance, but I bought a used bike with a Fox Float 34. It has a Push damper upgrade and Push air cap. I really liked the performance. However as of late I have been unhappy with how its been feeling. I went to look at whats under...

    Rims...

So, my stock of sponsored stuff is finally running out since quitting competitive racing a few years ago. I bought a complete Chromag online and it had Hope Evo 2 hubs laced to Stan's Flow EX. Nice wheelset, but I am used to i9 engagement. A new set of i9s (even used) is out of the question near...

    OK, F- you bike industry

I have gotten so fed up with the bike industry lately. Hub standards, wheel sizes (both width and diameter), carbon, prices, 10-11-12 speed, needing a giant backpack for a 1 hr ride, calling riding your bike "enduro, etc. Not to mention what MTBers look like these days... Its enough. After...

Shock the Fox CTD do this?

If I bleed the air out of my Fox Float CTD rear shock it sucks down. Is this normal or an indicator of the negative spring starting to fail?

    Lacing 20" 32H wheel for my 6yo

I bought my 6yo a used Specialized 24" MTB that is a bit too bit for him to ride off road. I have an older set of disc hubs and thought about building him some 20" wheels since the frame and fork at disc ready. I have all the parts in my part bin to do this pretty easily. However when I started...

Traveling to Hull and Newcastle England in April

As the title says, I will be traveling from the USofA to Hull and Newcastle England for work. Are there good places to ride over there? Is it worth bringing a bike? Are there places to rent bikes? I will not have a rental car, so everything will be by train or foot. Any monkeys from...

    Cloud Atlas

WTF? Did I miss something. I was utterly confused and lost for the full 2:52. I know nothing more than I did going in. I can't say it was a bad movie, I'm so lost as to what it was I can't even classify it.

Making the switch to FSR after so many years on a SP

I am borrowing a S-Works Enduro from a buddy (yes I know what a great friend). The bike came without a shock. I used my connections at Cane Creek to grab a DBAir for it. I have spent the last 6 years on Morewood single pivots. Either they suited my style or my style was developed from riding...

    Always weak?

This summer, for the first time, I have always felt really weak during XC rides. I used to train and race pro DH and while occasionally I felt tired during a ride, many many rides I felt great and was able to attack. 2 summers ago was my last year racing and now I ride to have fun. Other than...

    Lyrik Custom Tuning?

Ok, so I have a 2010 170mm Lyrik DH that needs some custom tuning. I usually keep it lowered either at 150mm or 160mm via All Travel spacers as I don't need 170mm. 170mm makes the handling of the bike sloppy and the front end flops pretty bad under heavy steering. My problem is the fork will...

    Looking for a trail bike

Ok, I'm looking for a trail bike that only a DHer could love. Help me find a frame that meets these prerequisites: 5-6" rear travel 1.5 head tube 135mm rear (12mm is a plus) standard rear shock mounts (no Specialized) 200x57 rear shock possible? I'm coming off a Morewood Mbuzi that...

At what point do you not have a race bike?

So in my best SCARY impersonation I need the internet to tell me what to do. I am no longer racing. Blah, blah, blah. Anyway, would you still keep a highly specific race bike for just riding DH? I have a 6" Mbuzi with an Angleset, a Double Barrel in the rear and a 170mm Lyrick DH up front...
