Constructive Criticism for Mt. Snow and other mountains

Let me start off by saying that I enjoyed Mt snow's course this weekend a lot. There were a few issues with course taping in some area where it was left to the riders interpretation. I completely understand not taping the whole course off both sides. That's a lot of work, time, and a lot of...

3 years to build, 1 day to tear down.

Hearing these stories always ticks me off, there's nothing worse than seeing hard work gone to waste for something as lame as a prison. When I lived out in SoCal in 95 (when I started bmxing), the local trails that I used to ride at would always get sabotaged by some cranky hag that was pissed...

    09 US Open Littermag Coverage

The US open video's this year are all pretty darn good. It's nice to know somebody got proof that my inside at 1:14 works unlike my qualifying run. Nice job, all your videos are stellar, keep it up.

    Official rule on tape-hopping?

Personally I am one who loves thinking about the lines that nobody else would think about. For a big race I think everything should be clear cut. No maybes, just yes and no. If it's not taped off, it's fair game. A promoter should very well know that if a mountain biker will do a 40 ft drop...

    Official rule on tape-hopping?

This kind of bring me to another question. It happened the year S.K.C. Hurt himself at a race 06/07? It was the Utah course at Diablo. There was a path that was NOT open at the beginning of practice on Saturday, but by the end it had been opened up by some riders. A lot of riders Including me...

    rob warner and freecaster

I absolutely hate twitter, but it has useful information once in a while: Via Twitter "Server is playing up again. You are too many people wanting to see DH and MX. about 6 hours ago from Tweetie" http://twitter.com/FreecasterTV =/

Pics of my belt drive project

I like it a lot. I'm just curious about one thing; since a chainring is skinny, mud has a hard time sticking on it. This on the other hand is a bunch of grooves, and if I were mud, that's were I'd be. Let us know how it works when it gets caked with mud. Nice job again.

Full Face now required by USAC for gated (4X and slalom) events

Personally I hate wearing full face helmets for dual slalom. For about 75 percent of courses (around here at least) it's overkill since a lot are made out of a soft dirt mixture and the top speeds are pretty low. I also find that full face helmets impair my vision greatly, especially since there...

The Video Find of the Day!!!

I was 6 when I used to ride sheep hills (1996-7). Brian and Alan foster, Todd, Shaun Butler and more were always ripping the place up. At the time I thought nothing of them except that they were great riders. I didn't realize at that age how important they were to the biking community. On a...

Record Jeep King of the Mountain?

Would anybody be willing to record the Jeep King of the mountain (whole thing) onto DVD? I would love to see it, but as crazy as this may seem, I don't have a TV to watch it on. I would really appreciate it.

    09 Mongoose site is up...

The ECD stands for Eric Carter Downhill. The suspension design's primary use is not for looks. It was designed so that less of your power is absorbed by the rear suspension when pedaling, and more of your power is going towards moving you forward. That is on top of the minimal chain growth...
