Quo Fan, the drop(s) are on the 495 side. They are kind of just in the woods; not much of a trail. The landings just end. You have to turn around and hike out wants you land.
So Mike got his chainring fixed. He went with a single ring setup and a top and bottom chainguide. I have never seen somebody break so much stuff on a bicycle as him.
I should have bought stock in the company that manufactures tubes, based on the number of flats he has had. He was good...
Splat,
I need more tours like that! Mike and I had a ball with the new features you brought us to. I have been looking for Fu@# It all season but never could figure out where it was. Appropriately named BTW.
Now I have to learn how to do pedal stabs so I can hit more of those drops at...
Splat, we missed you yesterday. Eight to ten people at one point. I must have just ducked out as you showed up. We left these two photgenic riders at Lincoln Logs around 11:30 or so.
P
Well, we got up there for a ride on Saturday. I got some pics but not nearly as many as I hoped. We were too busy riding and always forgot to stop. I had every intention of getting some pics at the jump park towards the end, but our bodies couldn't handle another run. Actually, there seemed to...
I snuck away for a while from painting a condo up at SR and checked out the lift served riding at SR. I have never tried anything like this before; what a great time. I did not have a chance to take many pics but I shot off a couple. Next time I will take some time to make shots of the...
Now that you mention it, I think you are right. I always thought that Jim was sitting back because he was paranoid about going over the bars. I just realized that it is his "feel good" position.
Thanks. It adds at least a half hour to the ride but it is sure worth it. The new camera is small enough to bring all the time so I how to take a bunch more this season. Hopefully I will get better with the focus and exposures.
It was perfect weather. Big day for one of our crew because we finally convinced him to ride some of the great features.
Mountain bike $2,000. Gas to get to nam $10. His expression - priceless..
Here he is again. No way he is go over the bars...
Jim, got really hurrt...
Okay, here is our attempt at some pics. Mind that we are rookies, both from a pic standpoint and jumping. However, it helps to be under thirty, like Rich (dark jersey). I think with a little coaxing, he'll go off of anything. Me, I prefer to drop softly:
Here's Rich:
We try to ride in the winter but skiing comes first. I have two daughters that would kill me if I did not take them up to Wachusett on the weekends. With that said, I will get to Nam whenever possible. I don't want to lose the courage to hit the drops in the Spring.
Splat,
Great pics. I have been lurking on this site for almost a year and I have learned to look for your ride reports. I have been riding Nam on and off for about 17 years and I have been eyeballing the jumps you guys have built. Me and one of my buddies built a small drop in my front...
