if v10 08 is 222mm eye-to-eye length why mine came with fox dhx5 228mm eye-to-eye? i have friends with 222 shocks and are shorter than mine. i`ve measured it and its an 228mm.
sorry if i`m on topic
minimum pressure is 125 psi for dhx5. anyway #500 has a correct amount of sag, amount 33-35% with only 2 turns of preload, 6 ret of propedal and rebound and 155psi in main chamber. it`s feel great on trail and its take some time to adapt riding this v10.... next shock will be roco wc or...
me too i want to put a roco wc soon, i read over internet and feels more better than fox. someting strange: i measured my fox and it`s length is 228mm eye to eye not 222mm as SC says on their website. it has stroke of 2,75 not 2,5 like 222mm shocks. On marzocchi website for 2008 roco wc are...
i observed that on my v10 2008 came with fox dhx5 of 228 mm length not with the usually 220mm. so i need a 228mm roco wc but on marzocchi`s website for `08 models are only available in 222 and 241mm. could affect somehow a 222mm shock the geometry of my v10?
travel of v10 is progressive or not? i`ve been readin somewhere in this forum about that v10 has a 3way working travel, more and less progressive but nothing conclusively
Hello!
Im wondering if i could use a 230 mm length shock on v10 2008 instead of the original (220mm). i would like to fit an CCDB here and the shop has only 230 and 240mm. It would affect somehow the way its workin througth travel of v10? And another reason: to keep the seat post away of the...
thanks for advice Yeti :) before i owned a RAM DHX with roco wc usin #550 and was better for jumps... but i almost forget that v10 is a pure specific dh bike... sorry for that :D
i tried #550 lbs spring and isnt better, it seems a bit harder, the small bump sensivity are gone but not bottomin out so easy. i think i switch back to #500 and no more jumpin to flat from now on in city:shocked:
roco 2008 has a smaller ai chamber and also a new range of pressure 170 to 210. the 2007 has 180 to 220psi. i dont know if its meanin somethin...
But its true that roco has a better small bump sensivity than dhx 5.0?
no, i purchased the frame from my local dealer, the only one has left for sale :) maybe SC figures out is something wrong with the setup guide from their website. i`ll try soon #550 spring and i`ll post the results
yes, it is a small size, the seat is maximum forward and not touching the rear wheel but is very very close to it. [/U][/U]
the setup guide from sc i think is calculated only for pure dh and not for dirt
in this case, v10 has a strange or weird leverage ratio which makes the suspension feels in a different way than a standard dh bike. it is also more exposed to bottomin out situations only jumpin to flats (dirt style) in advantage of pure dh trail where it feels amazing.
I`ll try 550x2,75...
should i get mz roco wc 2007? 2008 isnt avaiable here at this moment. there are many differencies between 2007 and 2008? i noticed that '08 has a smaller air chamber and thats all
yes, I do some jumps to flat or stairs, but nothing intense, on the trail its amazing. bottom out schrader is setted almost to maximum, 170psi in main chamber and and the spring not thightened hard, 1-2 turn. when I thightened to 6-8 turns doesnt bottoming out so easy but i loose the small bump...
