I think this comparison is made b/c the courses we have been offered to date. MTX should be on a full-suspension bike and the course needs to reward a MTB rider with rock gardens and longer straights. And yes cornering is still a important component of 4X and the silent gate takes some of the...
The WORLD has decided that 4X is the format of choice for racing and yet we (Americans) have to endure DS after DS race or like the posts have mentioned a lot of crap 4X courses b/c NORBA won't pony the bill for dirt, tractors and talented groomers.
If you want to race in a lane by yourself...
Rode mine last week at 40% and this bike is fantastic. It is wierd getting used to sitting almost directly over the rear hub but the control on this bike is by far the best of any DH I have ridden. (And no I am not sponsored by Santa Cruz)
I wish I would have waited for the "10 Boxxer WC, oh...
Thacker. Decent. the guys have been working on the DS and pump track, and the dual is good. I have started riding and we have several others getting up to speed!
Chuck- Could continue the numbers from a hat to decide the top 4 bottom 4. Either way the fastest four would have the advantage.
I would be all over it, but promised a road ride with my training partners. Anytime you are coming up shout, I have my V10 built and took the first ride on it Wednesday. My cell is still the same #.
AHHH.... I was all set to come out and start my return to racing and Santa Cruz sent my bike to the wrong shop and wont be here until Monday. :disgust1:
Everyone have fun and I will be seeing you all at the next race!
Collegiate Nationals concluded Sunday with perfect weather for DS racing!
Southeast riders took Div I Men (Weston Pope) and women titles (Lees-McRee) and D-II womens (Joy? Brevard) and second in D-II men.
Last years D-II winner Geoff Fryer from East Tennessee State Univ was taken out in...
Thanks for the replies, especially Banshee Rider and Vincent. Somewhere in all the info I have decided to place the order for the V10. If I don't like it then I have til sprring to get another.
Bubba, I am coming to Windrock soon!
I have to make a choice between a V10 and M6. I will be using the bike for stricty racing only. I have ridden/ raced everything in the Yeti stable since 1999 and am now moving on. I really liked the comparison post by Ithnu about the four bikes he rode.
Anyone have the experience on these...
UHHHH. Marin makes me quiver since I sheared my top and down tube after smoothly backsiding a triple. I had a '04 Quake 5.0 with the gay gusseted head tube that also sheared in two!
Yeah I remember seeing someone get tackled right after it in 2000 by a spectator because they wanted to stop him b/c somone over jumped the table after it and went down. I would have beat his a$$ but it looked like the guy got it much worse than the rider!
Chuck, Sorry I must witness Ramsbottom's end! I hope you are planing a race later this year. I just got my 4X built and ready to get busy. If you have another later I will put one on a ETSU in the fall!
Ben what happened last wekend? You just don't love me like you used too:nopity:
If you think interval training done properly is easy you are way off.
In regards to interval training being purely anaerobic you are off the mark! For intervals to be effectively employed into a training program there is an active recovery period of aerobic exercise needed. The higher the...
