Leased a Volvo XC40 out of state in May. Paperwork still not in at DMV as of yet. Can't drive it–extended-twice temp tag expired July 30.

While my OCD fueled search did not turn up my tank top, it did yield my Leatherman, my only pair of ankle riding socks, and my passport (which has been MIA for months).

I drove on a temp tags for more than year, I wore out the dmv and they gave me my title. Ymmv but hire the best registration liaison to get you temp tags constantly and all is gravy.
