In a blizzard? Brilliant.Aren't you working for an airline? Don't you need to go to fix a plane? If yes, I would assume there are airports on both ends, no? So may I suggest the obvious: take a plane.

I managed to make it to Silverthorne and am warming up at a friend’s house. But I’m stuck here now as conditions are really quite bad to the point that 9 to 285 isn’t feasible, and all other routes are closed.
A taste

I would think not, what with that helicopter you seem to now be in
We skied moar powder today and now are waiting patiently in Frisco for things to calm down... I should take a nap.Looks like there's no one going anywhere in the mountains today:

What, you mean you don't want to sit in this for the next 3 hours?We skied moar powder today and now are waiting patiently in Frisco for things to calm down... I should take a nap.
Definitely not.
Sounds like lots of SMRT people tried to take County Rd 50 today. Not sure how they manage to remember to breathe with that level of intelligence...Berthoud pass still closed. Going to drive up to Kremmling then through the tunnel instead. Will add an hour but I do have work to do, eventually.
What, no contractors pencils??View attachment 206415
Really? Cmon Home Depot, I had a day of mini excavator rental after 5 grand last year, they don’t have a single tool in their inventory that I don’t already own nor would I rent for 75 bucks. Guess I will start looking into other rewards options
Turns out, you can just ski like anywhere, no one cares!Going south from Tabernash the road over Berthoud Pass is closed from avalanche yesterday, so he was going to go the long way with my expert pink line. But the interstate that goes east from Silverthorne and passes through a tunnel under the continental divide has been closed all day too. So hopefully he's just sitting at his mountain house safely.

There's got to be some locally owned, 100 yr old lumber supply stores in your area?
You're still traffic.Got back to Denver a bit before 11. After being traffic up to the tunnel, yes

That was one long day 35 minutes to go half a mile to get on I-70 then like this from a mile out of Silverthorne through the tunnel. Then slow but better to Denver, roads gradually getting less snowy. Ultimately got in just before 11. We’d left Tabernash at 7:53 this morning.www.threads.net
We left Frisco around 10. Surprisingly, other than some semis scattered around, there wasn't any traffic to speak of until we got to around Idaho Springs. The roads were total shit, though, so speeds never really got above about 50mph. 2h10m FTR - about twice the "traffic-free" time.You're still traffic.
@SkaredShtles probably is too.
