In a van.... down by the river
Woodpecker is back pecking on the metal chimney. Apparently it is a means of establishing territory. Fucking hell.
I got one of those fuckin' things on my roof this morning as well.

The fuck kind of woodpeckers you have up there in Highlands Ranch? Teh critically endangered White Breasted Swinger Pecker?
Northern flicker. Fuckers. Fuckin' flickers.

Also - from teh .gov: "All woodpeckers are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA)"

Doesn't work. Ask me how I know.

Huh.... TIL some woodpecker species are Migratory. I presume they are carried by African Swallows?

Also, I may have some childhood legal exposure.

Is it driving a 3 row SUV before it attacks the chimney?
Shit. I almost got driven off the road by a 4 row SUV this am (at least I think the Excursion has 4). Surprised it didn't attack the whole fucking house.

Now off to build up and test some lasers. Pew pew!
We (and by we, I mean my employer) just bought a laser manufacturer. It was the largest part of my project we didn't make ourselves, so we bought somebody. Should be interesting. Now if only we could buy a material handler, we would be set.

To replace my fragile and aging fatbike. For the hipster hardtail I would have chosen the RS-291.

Looks similar to my Chromag but with sliding dropouts. That could be interesting but I think I would just run them as short as possible. The long bike/short stay combo is is pretty damn fun.

I wish I had the fund to get me a nice hardtail. Got a test ride on my friend's Rootdown and it was darn fun! I would probably run then short also or used them for a clean SS setup.

Isn't the ETA for those next November? Nice looking bikes, particularly that red. Rigid or Mastodon?

Reuters, Al Jazeera, Guardian, NYT, BBC, MSNBC, all above the fold, and it’s the lead story on Fox of course. Holy crap. Good job literally nothing else important is happening atm.

I have no idea where I am
Haven't been on here in a few days. What did I miss ?

Experienced one of the worst back spasms I've ever had Saturday. Back muscles on my right side seized up, then the chest muscles seized. It's like being in a giant vise and getting the shit squeezed out of you. Can't lay still, can't move either without excruciating pain. Seriously this one was Gout level pain. Been eating muscle relaxers and sleeping. Today is the first day I can walk upright.

Hope everyone has been relatively okay.

Yesterday, the dog went into surgery to get a cancerous tumor removed, and shes a champ. She is trying super hard to show the stitches arent bothering her.

Today, taxes have been filed.

Had the same thing happen back in September. I stupidly did not seek muscle relaxers until January.

But like they say. If your gonna be dumb you gotta be tough.
