I have no idea where I am
this reminds me i need a new pack for long backcountry rides...the ol m.u.l.e. is on its last legs. lots of peeps are liking ospreys. been looking into em. also digging the idea of a smaller bladder and taking my sawyer squeeze.
I like my Osprey Raptor 14 as it can carry plenty of shit for an all day Pisgah epic. And I second the sawyer Squeeze. Way better than hauling 3L of water when it's all around you to begin with.

Light bicycle recon pro on hope pro 4.

This will be my 3rd wheelset from them, and if they're anything like the first two, I'll be extremely happy.

This thing is coming together faster than I thought. You'll be able to break it in before rhe year is over at this rate.
I want to get it to a rollable state so I can use it like a large, adult strider bike and at least roll up and down the driveway. But full drivetrain, brakes and pedals will be later.... forcing myself to stop. The fork and wheels were tough...like pulling off a bandaid.

I've ordered two sets of road wheels from them with no issue.
I've had an XC set and a heavy trail/all mtn set for 4-5 years now I think, both on the Pro 4 hubs. The set on the trail bike has seen some shit (I'm a good 235+ lbs), and are just as solid as the day I got them. Still run true, haven't even had to tension/true them at all. No inserts either (new bike will).

Thoroughly impressed for sure.

In the cleavage of the Tetons
Ok, so kiddo had a great pun tonight.
we were eating dinner, and he said “not really a fan of this rice”.
I said “that might be because it is Orzo”
without missing a beat, he said
”So, it’s an impasta!”

much guffawing and groaning ensued.

Either way, has to be a dream come true to build a place from the ground up. I read enough cabin porn to fantasize about doing that one day.
go to youtube and search My Self Reliance

videos generally have little talking and this guy just getting shit done...

Just found out that my Wife's older brother swooped in, tossed all of my MIL's shit into a trailer and headed back to New Mexico with her today.

None of us Californians could put up with her full blown Trump loving any more. I didn't even have the chance to say don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out to her.

Hopefully this marks the end of any interactions I will ever have with the bitch.
