if i could read japanese id tell you :biggrin:when is it available?
i was planning to pick up a phobia but now im not sure
yes there expensive, but i think worth the expense.to bad they gonna be to expensive.TLD's are so overpriced imo
How many have you owned?to bad they gonna be to expensive.TLD's are so overpriced imo
next to the PeatyI like that one better than anything they did last year.
I own one, and the build quality is absolutely shocking (full stop, I won't even start on the exorbitant prices), the whole thing is put together with a combination of hot glue and adhesive velcro dots. To anyone who doesn't own one that would be funny, but if you do it's reality. I checked out one of the new 661 evo helmets the other day, and the quality of both material and construction methods were light years ahead of the TLD junk (or rather OGK or whatever they rebadge). How many have you owned?
That's because the QC rejects get sent down under.I own one, and the build quality is absolutely shocking (full stop, I won't even start on the exorbitant prices), the whole thing is put together with a combination of hot glue and adhesive velcro dots. However, I will own another because they look sick. That and I guess they fit really well and are fairly light, but those two things alone would barely make up for their build quality so I guess it's just the looks really.
Haha yeah I thought the same thing. Oh well, maybe the next generation.Like you though, I'm impressed with the new 661, but the visor still aint as cool.
Must be the same story for the riders that end up over there. That's because the QC rejects get sent down under.
Touche'!Must be the same story for the riders that end up over there.
damn that black carbon one is a beauty
Totally with you there, and I'd add that the protection of the helmets themselves is rubbish compared to many far cheaper alternatives.I own one, and the build quality is absolutely shocking (full stop, I won't even start on the exorbitant prices), the whole thing is put together with a combination of hot glue and adhesive velcro dots. Yea thats bull ****! I have cased jumped with my head and landed straight on my head plenty of times with the TLD carbon helmet and without it i probably would not be able to type this right now!I own one, and the build quality is absolutely shocking (full stop, I won't even start on the exorbitant prices), the whole thing is put together with a combination of hot glue and adhesive velcro dots. Oh the irony... I think you just served to prove udi and Socket absolutely right.Yea thats bull ****! I have cased jumped with my head and landed straight on my head plenty of times with the TLD carbon helmet and without it i probably would not be able to type this right now!
Wow. You really do deserve the protection of a D2.Yea thats bull ****! I have cased jumped with my head and landed straight on my head plenty of times with the TLD carbon helmet and without it i probably would not be able to type this right now!
You mean like the 2009 D3?? They're planing on having a D3 that passes the new safety standard like the Giro Remedy. Not positive, but i believe that standard would be equal to the US moto standard if they didn't have vent holes. The black/red and blue/white ones both rub me up the right way... just wish some other company would steal TLD's aesthetic designer and put those kinds of awesome shapes/paintjobs into a more protective helmet.
