Does anyone know of a company that makes 1.5 Headlocks? I know of the Manitou one, but I'm pretty sure it only works with Manitou Forks. I'm running a Totem...
I'll ask again tomorrow, but I asked my manager once cause I wanted to order some straitline parts and they said that the shop doesnt have an account with BTI.
I was thinking about getting the Azonic one and just putting a washer on the bottom and using my 1.5 top cap on the top. Think that would do the trick?
Well thanks for the heads up on the woodman guys. One of the guys that works part time at the shop also works in a machine shop, I might just have him fab me up a long bolt and a bottom piece.
The Manitou one is very nice, but like you said I am not positive it will fit forks universally. If someone around you has one try it out though cuz it will last.
i make my own headlocks for $1.50 at lowes. 1/4" threaded steel rod, 3/4"-1" spacer to cover the lower part of the steer tube and whatever size spacer you need to hold your top cap on. you can get creative with concealing the nut on top. i've had the same bolt/nuts/spacers for several years with no problems. besides, chicks dig homemade stuff
