i believe that the fork comes with 2 firm springs as stock, at least thats what james and the go-ride crew told me... i m running 1 stock firm and one extra firm... raised the oil level a little as well.... not getting full travel tho, about 7 inches (8" fork)
feels great tho'... bike rides about 10 pound lighter since the makeover...

The word is that the compression sleeve will not be needed for '05 because they are reducing the amount and/or size of the holes in the compression rod, consequently reducing low speed oil flow and the related dive "issue." What I've heard is that for '05 they have a fixed, middle-ground setting that should address what some have called a problem with the '04 forks.
If anyone (Brian P?) has any more reliable information, please correct me because this is only slightly better than an outright guess.
Interesting, if it's true. I kind of liked the fact that with the sleeve there was some range of adjustment, and '04 showed that it's hard to pick a setting that works for everyone. But it also makes sense to just restrict the flow a bit, that part is pricey and they want to keep the fork as inexpensive as they can.
