yeah, they're re-vamping the whole line, they're re-naming it the bananna split, and the team version comes with special "whipped cream" linkage plates.julian_dh said:i remember hearing something about new linkages like the ones on duncan riffles bike
It's a DHX Air for courses like Sea Otter where the weight loss is worth the performance loss.Jhon_Kona-CHILE said:which is the reason of shocks of air in sunday and others frames is by weight, work, etc or only prototyps???
no no no you were right about the Code brakes. They are the ones with the recessed adjuster. I was saying that he has a special hybrid setup.frznnomad said:ahh so its the ultimates with that recessed adjuster looks like i got my new setup figured out lol.

actually the current links are CNC machined aswell, excepte the one above is in its raw state whereas the ones on retail bikes are anodisedMX489 said:That link looks CNC machined.

nope. dw stated in another thread, they were all DHX air, the resi is just hidden by the frameSalami said:RP3 not DHX Air.
aLl of the links have theat... the 06' Elite had those hole ther... probalty to lower that bottom brakcet height for better conerning...That new linkage... it seems to have a pair of holes just forward of the swingarm mounting holes. What are these holes for, a bridge to aid stiffness, extra adjustability, or a bodged CNC program?
yay soon we'll have to run clown bike crank lengthsS.K.C. said:aLl of the links have theat... the 06' Elite had those hole ther... probalty to lower that bottom brakcet height for better conerning...
We already had this argument earlier in another thread. It's a DHX Air. If you disagree ask dw.Salami said:RP3 not DHX Air.
hahha DW has to be so sick of these comments, we all say them all the time...sayndesyn said:pfffffft... that makes no sense. what do you have a background in engineering or something?

That link in the pic is 100% CNC machined from 7075T6 billetMX489 said:That link looks CNC machined.
Iron Horse does not control its shock suppliers, but whatever. The 2007 bike (designed over 1 year ago) has completely different links and pivots, as well as a new 10mm shock hardware standard. If you so choose, you can tighten the shock hardware down tight enough to crush the shock bushing, but if the shock maker delivers defective DU bushings, its just going to mask any issues, not solve them. I agree with you though, you should take the word of some people on an internet chatroom instead of going and checking it out on your own to see whats up.thaflyinfatman said:Haha, looks like it'll be 08 at least before I consider touching one of those, if the 06s still have the linkage play problems. After 2 consecutive years of sub-par hardware, I'm sorry, but I just can't take anyone's word that it'll be fine for 07...
