indeed. those look like boxxer crownsHolly madness..
Did anyone think, Boxxer + 40 = 08 888?
Looks like they've got boxxers crowns and 40 lowers.. haha
sorry just a first impression
yep but also note that the lower leg apparently goes past the axle so a-c distance not necessarily increased.I'm surprised to see the 888 crowns raised again and not flat
country of manufacture - Taiwan.... or is this just the OEM version?
The 08 66 series isn't lighter than 07 is.38mm stanchions ehh...interesting.
Some serious weight reductions for the whole line if they can be believed
I meant the whole 888 line, I didn't look at anything elseThe 08 66 series isn't lighter than 07 is.
These days there's so much expertise and experience in taiwan, I'd rather have them do it than some greasy haired italian bean pole taking cigarette breaks every 10 minutes and chasing around tourist chicks so they can come home and meet momma miaeww...
Exactly. Not sure why everone is so anti-Taiwan.These days there's so much expertise and experience in taiwan
Because we all know China is gonna screw us one day,the less we pay,the longer we play.Exactly. Not sure why everone is so anti-Taiwan.

Thats heavier than my 05, with 2 springs and integrated stem....not what I wanted to hear. From what I've heard, it's ~ 8lbs, not including the integrated stem and with an uncut steerer tube.
The 05 was actually light for a 888. My 07 888WC with Ti springs is the exact same weight as my 05 888 RC with steel springs. The 07 888 RC2X was almost a 1/2 lb heavier.Thats heavier than my 05, with 2 springs and integrated stem....not what I wanted to hear.
ask Mike P, he had one for a short while, and weighed it on a variety of scales...Anyone know the ACTUAL weight of the '08 888 WC ATA with steerer and stem?
Mike didn't have the ATA WC. He had the '08 888 RC3.ask Mike P, he had one for a short while, and weighed it on a variety of scales...
