you're funny, pretending to know my mental state.you take things too seriously. i meant it more in the sense of young gunners vs. veteran racers. not necessarily riding style.
Has it been mentioned yet, i haven't been following the thread. Hart has the eyebrows of a champion
Great set. And not just Champs...Just put up a quick photo post on the finals over on that other site. My extremely overpriced, underwhelming Geneva airport hotel has fantastic intertubes, unlike Champery.

I though he was 14 in that photo. Though seeing him live in ADH last year Im not suprised. He always looks like that. My friends who dont follow dh closely were a bit suprised giant sponsors some little hobbit (thats how they see him) but i think he shut their mouths after killing it on a track that supposedly shouldnt separate riders for the first 500-700m^ Champery, yesterday
The only school that's ever the Winning School is skills plus confidence plus calmness plus fun. Anyone can possess those things on any given day.

Crap, I'm really old.I just found a couple of columns you wrote in Plush.
Thanks so much for keeping the stoke rolling for the last 14 years!
Mike King had won 2 or 3 DS nationals before his DH win in Metabief '93Is Danny Hart the first Elite Men to win a World Champ without having won a World Cup before?
Sam, Steve, Gee, Fabien, Greg, Nico all won a World Cup before winning Worlds.
I remember Ben saying that the organisers (champery) paid for the extra cameras themselves so its not like we have to than uci for that eitherThe coverage was unreal I thought, I counted at least 21 different cameras on Blenki's run where they showed him pretty much 100% from top to bottom.
Shame we missed the first minute or so of Hart's run; I guess there's no chance of the UCI releasing that extra footage either?
Great quality.....butHere's a good quality version:
What about fellow Giant rider Myles Rockwell? ...I have no clue what he resume consisted of, but I think his WC wins were minimal if at all..Is Danny Hart the first Elite Men to win a World Champ without having won a World Cup before?

Minimal for sure, but I'm pretty sure he won Kaprun in 1995.What about fellow Giant rider Myles Rockwell? ...I have no clue what he resume consisted of, but I think his WC wins were minimal if at all..
Yup. Warner won the following year.Minimal for sure, but I'm pretty sure he won Kaprun in 1995.
Links?Great quality.....but
Now you all monkeys should watch all other top riders runs(Minnaar, Blenkinsop, Pascal, Hill, Fairclough, Peat, etc)..to see how insane was this run.
I miss those days!!!!!And for a few years the NORBA Nats were arguably the premier series in the world.
He did, but they gave him a DNF. That was such a nasty crash.Did Bryceland ever get his bike back??
Agreed! The magnificence of Hart's run can only fully be appreciated when you see how much the top riders struggled on that track and how it humbled the best riders in the world.Great quality.....but

And then to see Hart totally dominate the track. Frasure's whip photo captures the climax moment of the whole season in my opinion.
It may be just another whip to those don't follow the sport, but the kid is 19 and has just put together the run of a lifetime, he has shown so much confidence in his own ability but never let it go to his head, and trained hard to get where he is and still keeping the love and enthusiasm for what he does, I think it shows in this whip - what he is feeling at the moment of this whip must be beyond compare. He's got a great attitude, such a deserving winner!
Oh man, you burst my bubble! There is a sweet shot somewhere of his race run whip, but this is not it. The picture from the final run is even sweeter because you can barely see him through the mud and his goggles are coated so he is in effect hitting that section blind. Well said though. He won our race in the beginning of the year and he was awesome to watch practice. Super nice kid as well.
such a gnarly crashratboy seems to live by the motto:
"i don't want to fall - i want to crash!"
maribor 2009:
