Has anyone gotten delivery of the first batch? The rep for my local shop says delivery has been pushed to mid feb.

yer. no idea of the numbers, but they landed in vancouver earlier this month. check the weight (with steel coil) - sick!Uh, we've got one in stock here in Canada, and a buddy has one at home.
are you still on the laharrrrgh?yer. no idea of the numbers, but they landed in vancouver earlier this month. check the weight (with steel coil) - sick!
yes! it's unkillable. this will be it's 7th year. geometry is still current, so no reason to replace the thing.are you still on the laharrrrgh?
I always tohought, these bikes were a piece of art. Not pretty, but artboxxers are no longer polishy; pita to keep that way, so i just give them an occasional quick wet scrub w/ fine steel wool for a kind of burnished satin look. build has been bomber (lucked out w/ a non-glitchy boxxer, it seems), so no major component swaps.
So did these show up today? I believe mine should be in that shipment - how long until it gets to Canada eh?Mark W - We started shipping medium frames in late november. All sizes are almost online now, the XL was the last one. Your specific frame, however, is something that you'd have to work with your shop - and their sales rep at santa cruz could say exactly when it should leave here.
I can tell you there's a big shipment due in on March 25th. That should catch us up from the initial high demand - from here on out the stock levels will be more consistent and back to more usual 1-3 day turnaround.
Sorry for the wait, and thanks for the support.
ya know, i'm not privvy to all the comings and goings of trucks and bikes around here, but I do know the XLs showed up last week. They might have had company. If they are here, trust there are people who work here whose jobs are to get them to you before the end of this month. So did these show up today? Hows bout the Bronson C? My dealer ordered a complete, stripping it and selling me the frameset. It was a large, yellow. He says 6-8weeks....fingers crossed it will be sooner than that.just following up with people waiting, you get your bikes yet? there was a V10 shipping frenzy on March 29...
Hey joe, thanks a lot for replying to my initial inquiry! I ordered my frame around the 1st of March and it's not here yet, but my LBS says they just received the invoice early this week which usually means the frame is on it's way from Santa Cruz (?). So we're hopeful it should be here Friday or Monday!just following up with people waiting, you get your bikes yet? there was a V10 shipping frenzy on March 29...
That's a medium. 29lbs 11oz as pictured but will be around 31 once the pedals guards and 3M go on.Beauty!!! Size and weight?
Most of it is in the wheels. I've run single-ply tires with no issues for many years (I know this is sacrilegious to many but it has worked very well for me), and this year I'm trying out Stan's tubeless with the EXO single-ply, so it works out to a 2-3lbs drop over standard 2-ply rubber/tubes. Might be pushing it a little too far, but I thought it was worth trying. Hopefully I'll get to test it out in a few weeks. Super impressed with Stan's so far. Can't believe how easily the tires seated and pressurized with just the rim tape and the sauce.Sub 30lbs with a coil shock is pretty amazing.
Hey Mark W, where abouts in Canada are you? Because I live on vancouver island and I ordered my frame a little over a month ago and it was supposed to get here on Friday like yours, but it's not here yet. I'm just wondering if its just on the mainland and will make its way over on Monday!I haven't figured out what pressure will work (if any) for the tubeless/single-ply combo. You are right though, 30 psi is too low for a single-ply tire in my experience. I typically run 35-40 front and 40-45 rear and that's where I will start with this new setup. I've noticed that a single ply tire with 35 psi seems to deform/comply to terrain a little more than a dual-ply with the same PSI, so when you just speak in terms of PSI, it sounds worse than it actually is. That being said, the grip loss due to the higher PSI is still apparent, but I look at it more like a trade-off because the lighter wheel weight gives noticeable performance gain in momentum changes (accel/brake) and tends to hold speed much more efficiently and generally feel more nimble or playful. Most people roll their eyes at me when I spout this stuff, but I feel like its been a key to success for me for a while now.
