Damn I was the race was tomorrow! :dancing:douglas said:The deal w/the course:
It will be very similar to last year with 2 changes that I know of...
change#1: after the "under" then road/field section, there is about 1/8 of a mile extra singletrack that avoids the worst of the rooty section
change#2: (I didnt ride this): on the dh section the muddy section to the 3 way section is gone, replaced by a steep "skid" section, and some road......which means less st but no mud pit, not sure if thats a good or bad thing.
I also heard the road (climb) is really soft, I am hoping enough people preride it Friday to make a packed down path all the way up.
of what I rode, just a few spots of mud - I predict most spots will be dry by race time
and an 8 year old , and my wifejustbill said:For anyone wishing to do a pre-ride on Friday, while dinner is cooking, and is worried they may give in to the temptation to ride fast when they should be taking it easy- may i suggest,
Take a 10 year old with you.
Please
BOOOO!!!! Bring on the mud bog! That's one of the only places I passed people.douglas said:The deal w/the course:

I would but I plan to be done w/my preride by early afternoon.
the rest of my day should go like this:
Douglas & Hamock in the shade & a couple hot chicks to fan me while I patiently wait for dinner
so if you can arange all that, I'd appreciate it !
Steve (Goddy43) and I should be rolling in to Dalton around 2pm on Friday. Do the rest of you guys have time(s) planned to pre-ride, or are you just going to play it by ear?I Are Baboon said:I'm going to preride soon as I get there so I have plenty of time to recover. I plan on going S-L-O-W on that preride.
Theres a couple convenience stores about 1/2 mile away.mogulskr said:Got a question for you guys. What do you do about ice? We'll through ice in right before we get there, but I'm not sure it will last the whole time.
Nice! Thanks Doug!douglas said:Theres a couple convenience stores about 1/2 mile away.
I'm going to play it by ear, but I'd be happy to wait for you guys to preride. When I say I'm going to go slow, I MEAN IT. I want my legs to do as very little work as possible. I would like to finish a preride by 5:00 at the latest.McGRP01 said:Steve (Goddy43) and I should be rolling in to Dalton around 2pm on Friday. about 2 2 1/2 Hoursmogulskr said:Another question, I'm becoming a pain in the ass. This one is for Splat or Bill - how long does it take you to get to Dalton and from where in MA do you leave from.
I think they they mean the cars parked at the camp site (you can have one vehicle per site), from the main parking lot you can come & go as you pleasemogulskr said:Thanks Doug. On the site it said no in and out from the parking, is that not really inforced then?
