He is still pissed that they made him make a 650b frame.I asked brant on MTBR if maybe he measured something wrong, and his response was something along the lines of "FUCK YOU EVERYBODY ELSE IS WRONG". So there's that.
Wait I somehow missed this the first time. Looks perfect. Kinda expensive but eh.btr. am frame is 64* (dh frame is 61*). very slammed. expensive, though. http://www.btr-fabrications.com/
i'm still running a ragley bagger (sits at about 65*); too bad they dropped this one. all the other production frames out there are too steep, imo.
Woah, they still exist? That actually looks pretty damn nice. I could always put an angleset on it.seems like he used to (ie, my bagger with a 65* h/a and 13" bb w/ 160mm fork). alas.
i'm currently on a demo chumba rastro, which is pretty solid - bb is about 12" (with a 140mm 36); though h/a is a bit steeper @ 67.5*, it's still a ripper. a bit of a premium price as it's us-built.
1 1/8 steer tube on the new sov...Also you might want to check out the new Evil Sovereign. Info is pretty non-existent, but apparently they are out there.
they've been reincarnated; new people. i like it.Woah, they still exist? That actually looks pretty damn nice. I could always put an angleset on it.
I emailed them. We'll see. Also you might want to check out the new Evil Sovereign. Info is pretty non-existent, but apparently they are out there.
They said the new Sov is available, but weren't able to provide full geometry numbers. Which is... interesting.I emailed them. We'll see.
They provided the info to me via email some months back. I posted them in the sov thread on mtbr...Ha. I wasn't talking to Kevin, so it maybe sounded like the guy I was talking to just didn't have them in front of him or something. Still a little odd.
I'm waiting to hear back from BTR about shipping a frame to the states, but that thing looks badass. If they can get me one soonish I think that's going to be the one.
Yeah, my last two DH bikes have fallen into the "you suck" and "dangerous/trendwhore/you hate your toes" categories. The "you suck" one was actually too low, but my toe-hating DHR is perfect. That diagram is so full of shit, but I still think someone needs to make those into stickers and put them all over bike shops.
The Brits seem to have a thing for hardtails. This roughly meets your geometry requirements and isn't exactly ugly either:

Sure is pretty. I think the BTR is a little closer to what I want geometry wise though. The Brits seem to have a thing for hardtails. This roughly meets your geometry requirements and isn't exactly ugly either:

Be wary of PP.production privee shan or whatever? 66* HA, 460mm reach in the biggee size.
