I usually can’t watch many videos of dudes get broken off on bikes or skateboards as it hits too close to home and can make me queasy.

But I guess I’m a bad person, cuz I want to watch an edit of all these Gee slams on a loop.

———

Was there any follow up or fallout from Brosnans “freewheel” innovation?

I’d like to see Laurie or Luca win, but I think Pierron will continue his tear.
Also, I get the impression that most of these top 15 young kids have better than average personalities and attitudes, even the French. That is cool to see and good for the sport imho.

On every other track I always watch the preview videos and think "yeah, I wouldn't be anywhere near as fast, but I could ride that."

Vallnord is a hard NOPE. I'd go way too slow, then convince myself to let off the brakes, and then miss one of those huge ruts and huck it off a cliff and break all the bones. Fuckin' savage track.

It looks like you could easily huck up onto one of the camera platforms with little effort...but yeah that stuff is steep. I mean it looks steep even on camera, which is saying something...

Rachel back to smashing it.

Just got home with a rake of beer to watch the DH... and seem to be watching women in lycra riding fireroads on 29er hardtails

it's tomorrow isn't it?

Oh... well... it's hardly beach volley ball but these beers won't drink themselves

Luca Shaw is just insanely fast at the moment. Ist this the fourth qualifying this year he won?
It would be great to see Luca take the win, imagine two different Americans winning a WC downhill in the same season:headbang:
Although winning while Gwin is injured is like winning an interim Title belt in the UFC, you won but you didn't beat the Champ.
I'm sure Seagraves win last week was more satisfying than any win last year because she won against Rachael straight up with no crashes or mechanicals to blame

Seems Rachel has had a word with herself coming into this round. Let's hope Tahnee can do the same after finding herself 13 secs back in quali and we get a close race to watch tomorrow.

in a single wide, cooking meth...
Not nearly drunk enough for this, but fuck it, lets strap on our crab0n, endureau bleu jock straps and talk down gradient struggle buggies.

- Someone needs to change the name of this place to Mandorra. I mean, fucking neck punching Cedric Gracia resides here, and if you've seen any POV track footy, this track is more manly than Chuck Norris infused with Viagra scotch.

- Mandorra was originally founded by Mandalorians, which explains a lot of the bad assdry in this general vicinity.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalorian

- Tiring of being harassed being space immigrants (jumping over the ozone wall so to speak), the Mandalorians changed their clan name to Catalans, which of course are widely known in western civilizations for their creation and distribution of Catalina salad dressing (which I still maintain is very much an acquired taste).

- Vallnord is actually the Catalan word for Valhalla...like I said, some manly shit going on in this backwater of Yurp.

- I'm going to Whistler for a week starting this Sunday (i.e. fuck you guys).

- I checked, and they have practically no gun violence in Andorra...which means, they need an aggressive, unsolicited injection of freedom. So yeah, we should invade them to give them freedom bang sticks and Cracker Barrels,,,and hopefully an inexpensive way for me to visit CG and discuss the finer points of neck punching.

- None of the WC guys run wide rims...it's almost like its...ehh, never mind - lizards gonna lizard

- For the love of fuck, will somebody get Loic and Finn off Flexalized? GG has Apple money now, so they need to step up and help some pinner bros out before they turn into the next Graves & Keene.

- Mandorra did not have a team in the big kickball tournament going on...pfft, what kind of shit country doesn't even have a team in the big kickball tournament?

- I'm going to Whistler for a week starting this Sunday (i.e. fuck you guys).

There ya have it folks...a fairly easy solution for the podium if you ask me.

1.) Brendog: even Jewel thinks this guys grill is jacked up, but it matters not when you're on a mission. What kind of mission you ask? The kind to make @Sandwich commit ceremonial seppeku in shame over his almost constant dismissal of Brendog's DH prowess (however deserved quite frankly). It's a sad day on RM, but it does create an opening for a new moderator...I know just the guys when he gets back from Whistler.

2.) @Dogboy : So the deal is me and @SuboptimusPrime are leaving our hood early Sunday morning, but oddly, Mr. Dogboy won't be joining us until much later in the journey. Weird, why wouldn't he just come with us on the same flight out of town? Oh that's right, he stopped by Eurobike to check out the latest in German dildo powered bio-bikes, and figured he'd swing by Mandorra for a quick lap down the mountain before heading to Whistler. See ya at the Fitzsimmons express old timer!

3.) @SuboptimusPrime - just kidding, we're all over here in Mandorra at the moment, just tuning up on this bitch track for the gnar of Ninja Cougar. SubOpt opts for his classic 2007ish Spesh Big Hit (which unlike the current Demo, in not a fucking floppy flex noodle) to tackle the handful a barely steep sections at Vallnord. Even after a long evening of blasting bourbon & redbulls and dancing with moderately overweight chicks in a disco-tech while fleeing suspicious PoPo, the good doctor guides her home to an impressive 3rd place.

4.) Yours truly - bringing up the rear is kinda what I do, and Mandorra is no exception. Reviving ye auld V10 from the scrapheap, I set off at staggeringly slow pace that even Brendog finds offensive. But that's when my unique skill set begins to take effect, and I jettison my old trusty S-axle path V10 for a more direct way down the mountain...Hooray for Sir Issac Newton!

5.) My V10 - It finally tumbles across the finish line less than 30 seconds after my broken carcass does. It's still not damaged in any significant way. God damn it.

Fairer sex (all of whom are wildly faster than the 2-4 in the male podium)

1.) Rach - Lulz...Well, someone seems to be motivated.
2.) Not that it matters, but lets go with Tahnee
3.) Maybe faster than her brother now - Tracey Hannah
4.) hot Italian chick?
5.) hot swiss chick

has to be one of the raddest top 4's in quali's or finals of all time. Luca, Danny, Laurie and Brook. Still not sure about this Estaque character, you know he's French and all, but good on him you can tell he's fucking pumped and loving it. Finals today are going to be pretty sweet

Thirion used to be one of my favourite riders to watch...

Then Commencal made him a 29er

Yeah Fearon is always good to watch but also nowhere near as wild as he once was. Is he the only flat pedal rider left in the top 60 now?

Best DH race so far!

Great camera footage, was surprised by how many cameras the had.

Way to go Loris! "I won, now I can die now" haha classic.

where the trails are
Rad racing. Very different to watch with many of the usual suspects out.
only 80 points between 1 & 2 in the women.
I too wish they had better coverage of the top. The boring man-made section seems to have a large role today.

next stop, Mont St Anne. Boosh!

In hell. Welcome!
Happy for Loris, shame about the poor coverage of the 1st segment. Might this be a relief for Pierron? No longer under as much pressure, I bet he is taking the next one.

Was it just me or did it appear they had some cameras on the top section, but very rarely showed the footage. I just remember seeing some of it on the earlier riders, but it wasn't consistent on all riders, especially the later riders.
