Hey dudes *waves*

Since the forum has a Brooklyn thread, I thought why not have a small Avalanche thread? I think it'd serve as an information source for Avalanche owners or owners to be..... OR maybe not......

So, send your pics, opinions and other crap.... I'd be interested to see some pics of the silver DHS Ti, forks....and DHS shocks w/ Ti springs....

Disclaimer: This thread might well be utter ****e!

PS; Does anyone know the OD of the spring on Curnutts?/

My Avy story:

About a month ago, my DHS started to leak a little bit by the main seal.
E-mailed Craig, and he said it was probably low on nitrogen pressure.
Got my local moto-shop to re-pressurize it to 250psi.

Has been working perfectly since...

Welcome to the Monkey. One of the first things you'll learn here is: people get uppity when you start these vauge kinds of threads. Someone will chime in soon and tell you to "use the search feature." Lots of this stuff has been discussed; if you have any specific questions on Avy stuff after searching, people will be happy to help. But posts without a specific point usually end up either ignored or mocked, neither of which is conducive to a good Internet experience.

In general, it's kind of a good thing, and keeps the board free of endless "what's the best frame/fork/wheel/tire/rim" or "post your rootbeer Bullits with Shivers!" kinds of threads that can plauge other boards. There are occasional threads like the BMW thread, the hardtail thread, and the blacked-out bikes thread, but they're few...most don't survive infancy.

People here can be relative grammar and spelling nazis, too.

So, yeah, we're generally a bunch of nerds and ninnies. But there's good info to be had...so again, welcome and enjoy.

-MD (happy Avvy owner).

I have a question' Whats the width of the shock body on the DHS?/ Iknow it has a 30mm piston, so I'm guessing its about 35/36mm.... After all the Spring ID is 1.5 '' on Avys...

Thanks dudes! I really love my bb7 too! :D
I'm not very tall, so the geometry of the small/low frame feels spot on for downhilling and stuff.

But I'm actually having some thoughts about selling the frame.

Been having some trouble with my eye, and some other health stuff. (Liver not working too good..)
Not really into DH anymore. Have more fun on the slower 'NS' type trails, now.

The new 6pack & 7point frames looks like they are made for that... ;)

Hey Roger

That does not sound good at all :( :( What is wrong with your eye ? I hope you will still be able to ride some DH.....because it is fun :)

On the other hand the NS at Vanga also looks fun...but difficult !

I hope you are ok :(

I have some internal bleeding in my right eye. Can't see any details at all with that one... Sometimes the trail looks kinda blurry when you go down fast.
And of course the depth vision is not there anymore...
