Nowhere Man!
Last year I averaged about 20mpg in a Toyota Tacoma. I drove about 200/300 miles a week, most of it needlessly. I paid a stupid amount of money for little or no reward. I sold my truck in November and couldn't be happier. I am healthier, happier, and have manged to save quite a lump of change. When I actually need a car I either borrow or rent. About $100 since thanksgiving. I however have burned through drive train components and tires so the savings may be offset a little.....

yup, by the looks of it i'll be getting a good bit over 600 miles from a 58 litre tank. Time will tell on that front though, as i mentioned before it should get even better (to the tune of 3-4%) if i get it remapped.

Just in case anyone's thinking this is a silly wee city car, it isn't.

(edit: for perspective, the wheels are 18s)
Its sooo anoying that we dont get these cars here.

really?? U did actually get the mk1 & 2 versions (Contour to you lot) but not the mk3. And because you weren't getting the mk3 they were able to make it far far nicer with a germanic (sorta) interior that apparently doesn't go down so well on your side of the pond

have you seen the contour that we get? Now its called the 'edge' but fact remains its not the car you guys are getting over there, and without a deisel option.

I just took my new chevy 2500HD 4x4 crew turbo diesel on a run to NH. Running 75 & punching it out of every tollbooth I averaged 19.5 mpg.

Not bad for a 7000#, 360hp/650tq truck with only 600mi on it. My old 02 6.0l would only get 12-13mpg on that same trip.

My Subaru Outback gets 23 mpg's.
My Dodge truck gets 12mpg's.
I drive like a grandma too?!?!?!

Thank God I work 5 miles away and only have to get gas once every 3 weeks.
But it still hurts.

94 4runner- around 12...I have seen as good as 13.8 though.

Its a good thing I can ride to work, otherwise gas would be killing me.

It uses gas:huh:

Last tank was 28 mpg. It lasted 3 weeks. Living 3 miles from work rules.
I'm with you there! Just changed from working 30miles away to working 4.5miles away - makes a hell of a difference!

I have cycled to work a couple of times, but it aint fun when you've got to cycle through this to get there:
